Way off base. Pulp Fiction is two good scenes in two hours of bloat, Tarantino directing like a petulant child trying to be provocative while actually only plagiarizing. The scene of the boys cleaning the blood out of the car is one of the most tedious in modern film, and Travolta’s drug experience sidestory is the

Sweeney posted photos of herself at her mom’s MAGA-themed birthday party, posing next to family members in Blue Lives Matter shirts and pro-Trump paraphernalia.

The Root is kind of weird for a Kinja site because the trans-hating bigots are all un-greyed and you have to go to the greys to find anyone saying “Trans people actually DO deserve to live.”

Having watched it last night, it’s definetely not torture porn. The kills are so absurdly over the top and unrealistic, amazing practical effects notwithstanding, that it’s more of a gonzo comedy in the realm of stuff like Jackson’s Bad Taste or Braindead, but with a nastier edge.

Glenn Whipp does not seem to go on to ask Tarantino about the very weird recent blip in his non-hired-hand career, i.e., that bit where it really sounded like he was going to make a Star Trek movie for Paramount.

Tarantino’s not a hired hand. He’s more of a jukebox/mixtape/playlist copycat filmmaker, just one who has an ear for dialogue. Too bad he looks for opportunities to jam the n-word into that dialogue. That’s probably the real reason why he won’t make a Marvel movie, that and Marvel doesn’t present chances to address

Whether it’s good or not doesn’t hold any bearing on what the movie literally is, though. Most of the Resident Evil movies are awful, but that doesn’t make them historical dramas any more than not liking Terrifier 2 makes it torture porn.

I hate slasher films, and I enjoyed the first movie on a certain level. It’s not my favorite, but you can’t deny Thornton is fantastic. It’s a really dark horror comedy. Period. The scene at the end where he’s grasping for Vicky through the chains and just starts honking his little horn. That’s hilarious. It reminds

this you?

“I’m not a hired hand. I do hire feet, but that’s unrelated.”

This ain’t Saw here, it’s Nightmare On Elm Street without MPAA restrictions

“...we’ve also got a whole new crop of Quentin Tarantino interviews to get through.”

Whoa, the backlash has begun ‘round here, eh?

“I prefer securing my funding through a rapist to highlight my integrity.

Of course it’s ok to like or not like a thing. This person is just a puritanical weirdo who hasn’t even seen the thing they’re crusading against.

As someone who can’t stand torture porn but enjoys the Terrifier movies, I think you either haven’t watched the movies or are simply miscategorizing them.

“If something I don’t like is popular, it must mean I’m wrong about things I DO like! There is no other recourse than reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”

Well bless your little heart!

You definitely come across like the insane moms that thought Silent Night Deadly Night was going to ruin Xmas forever

Nothing like a post about Terrifier 2 to bring out an AV Club commenter’s inner uptight evangelical movie censor.
