@WhiteMåge is in fact a boy, damnit: IMHO, the ending is not really abrupt in HL episode 2, shocking and many other feelings but I felt like they did give you an ending if you really think about it. It is no Halo 2 ending but the ending between HL2 and eps1 is a little abrupt. Either way it leaves you wanting more…

@jayislost: I personally think it would be Alyx that would be doing the sign language to an NPC. It would just seem more natural since she can already talk to dog (and I see her in my mind being able to do it with ease and making it look fluid and real.)
