If a Corvette SUV was made, it wouldn’t be made on the same production line as the Corvette, it would be made alongside other Chevrolets - though, realistically, it’d be made alongside Cadillacs because they’re the premium…

The difference is Corvette doesn’t need to be saved - it’s a single model within the Chevrolet lineup. Porsche is a brand, Corvette is a model. That’s a pretty fundamental difference. 

I’m typing this on a mid-2010 13 in MBP, and I’ve never had any issue with the MagSafe connector. Have I had issue with the MagSafe charger? YES. This is probably my third charger. The actual MagSafe connectors on the charger are fine, it’s just the jacket near the connector end and the wiring that deteriorates…
