I’ve been a manager for over 25 years. You know what you do in that situation? You, the manager, cover the shift. Show that fantastic employee how important they are to you and the organization. You make that time off happen. She’s not taking time off for a Tupperware party. Worst manager ever.
I live in New England. Old people, mainly, when it gets warm in the Spring still wear their heavy winter coats. So, that combined with a closed up house leads to some gnarly ass cooked food BO. (Also referred to as “hot weiner” BO in Rhode Island.) That’s what White Castle smells like. That shit is heinous.
