A big part of me feels like MacFarlane really just wanted to make a new Star Trek series but they turned him down so he went to fox and pitched a parody and then slowly dropped out most of the joke after the suits stopped looking. Really enjoyed the later half of season 1 and especially season 2. Been waiting a long…
It’s such a bonkers world where we have multiple new Star Trek shows and yet a Seth MacFarlane show is the only one that actually feels like Star Trek.
I can offer one possible explanation:
That guy also got super hearing damaged. Inside a sealed space, the damage is so much worse.
And this is what you get in a society that fetishizes guns.
My first thought was Mark Hamill and John Lithgow
I’m pretty sure he’s never actually said anything too controversial. The internet initially got mad at him because he went to a church that Elliot Page said was anti-LGBTQ (after which he said he believes anyone should be able to love who they want) and it kind of just became a thing afterward that certain segments of…
All of those things are why the company has been able to create and ride the hype-wave so far.
Leave out that and Elon’s personality, and you have a nomal car manufacturer not reveered by geeks and probably bankrupt around 2014.
I chuckled. Thanks.
This altered scene is presumably inspired by the semi-classic Luke Cage #9 where Cage goes to extremes, including “borrowing” the Fantastic Four’s jet, to get back $200 from Doctor Doom. If they’re trapped inside because of the winters then....yeah, this does kind of feel like win-win. If it gets used to just keep cows indoors all the time regardless of the season, that’s when it starts to feel a bit sad-dystopic.
I also would have accepted a scene with the miniaturized tracksuit guys in the tiny truck saying to the owl, “Don’t eat us, Bro!”
That this is styled as being “almost shocking” (i.e., that people don’t realize how much CGI the show uses) goes to the point that I’ve made over and over again: people don’t hate CGI, they hate bad CGI. Modern films and movies are constantly using CGI in all sorts of subtle ways that most people never notice.
Run, Shadowfax. Show us the meaning of paste
Yeah, seriously. Call it what is is. FIA needs to take this seriously. I’m a little concerned that it’s just going to be ignored because she’s in W Series.
So, talking toys that have full on sentience is ok, but you get into FTL space travel, robots and aliens and that’s just too much? 8/
How would the police be expected to know to treat something as a crime scene? That’s not their...oh, it is their job.
2. He has college aspirations. What part of that don’t you understand?
It wasn’t caused by bad policy or bad procedure, but by a lack of knowledge? The fuck does that even mean (nothing, I know). The policies and procedures were correct, we just didn’t know what the policies or procedures were and we didn’t follow them? Is that somehow better?
