Back in the Before Times, we had these things called “mini-series”. We would huddle ‘round the dim flickering images on our small screens, and see tales that lasted for only a week or two, and then would be gone - sometimes forever. Tales like Shogun, or Roots, or North And South.

Counterpoint: The “I’ll get drive-through” line was the only funny line in the whole film. It came early in the film, and it was all downhill from there.

I gave the show a pass on the whole “whore” thing, since it was a western in space. And whores are as much a part of movie westerns as white hats, gunslingers and loyal horses. See Unforgiven.

I was very surprised when I saw RRs name on the end credits, because my impression of the episode was pretty mixed. I remember thinking during the ground battle, that the director really muddled things up, and I found the action both confusing and poorly paced. Not exactly bad, just not great.
