I never tire of the one hit wonder "Venus" by Shocking Blue. I love it much more than the cover by Bananarama. It's very simple but incredibly catchy, and there's something about it that perfectly distills late 60s mainstream psychedelic rock.

Starr's drumming is hugely underrated. His technique evolved and got more sophisticated just as the rest of the band's did, but people never seem to give him credit for that. I chalk it up to them not knowing much about drumming.
"outmoded and passé"…Shallow AND pedantic?
Don't see Very Bad Things. It's monumentally unpleasant.
It's one of the reasons I still watch the show. Her wardrobe is out of this world.
By far the dumbest thing I hate watch is Designated Survivor. It's like slamming my hand in a car door over and over again.
I hope they do a horseshoe or a hot brown next!
Yeah, people seem to forget about it. Watching Northern Exposure and Twin Peaks was a routine I had with my dad in the early 90s. I didn't really care for the last season of Northern Exposure but I still watched through to completion. I really hope it gains a new audience because it had a lot of great episodes. Even…
You're the first person to recognize my avatar! Yes, I loved that show too.
I do not think it would have been good for me, no—and obviously my parents weren't dumb, they only took me to stuff like The Black Cauldron and the reissue of Snow White and maybe Explorers but I think we watched that later on video. However, I have two older sisters 10 and 12 years my senior, so I often watched stuff…
I was actually four at the time (remember when movies stayed in the theaters forever?) but yes, I actually do remember it—one of my earliest memories in life, weirdly enough. Obviously I didn't get to see it until a few years later, but it's just as well. No 4-year-old should see Temple of Doom.
I remember being 13 and my mom taking me to see Pulp Fiction in the theater. It was amazing. I think she was a little shocked by some of the violence, but overall we both had a great time, and it's one of my cooler movie memories with my mom.
Right? It's so hard to balance sexual tension with comedy without sacrificing one for the sake of the other—somehow this show managed to execute it perfectly.
It kind of makes sense why she wants him on her team—she says she's trying to pay him back for screwing her over twice. So he's punishing him while using his skill set. Doesn't make sense that she'd take such a risk just for revenge, but I guess he's supposed to be just THAT GOOD? Honestly, I'd prefer these movies if…
Even Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael?
I also love his Neil Young—and when he performed "Whip My Hair" as Neil Young with Bruce Springsteen, that was genius.
As always I agree with A.A. Dowd. I can't say the same for Nick Wanserski—Sucker Punch was absolutely unwatchable to me. It was a sprawling, misogynistic mess—a good cast completely wasted in a hot pile of garbage.
Wow, I've never even heard of this movie but it looks really cute. I'm sold, I'm going to watch it soon. I didn't realize Melissa Rauch had that accent and delivery in her, it's awesome.
I can't say I was too disappointed by Preacher—I actually think the series did a decent job, considering how tricking of an adaptation job that is.
While I agree it doesn't offer much beyond your typical promo, I'm thrilled to see anything about American Gods because I'm so psyched about it finally coming to the screen. So I'll take this, and any other articles I can find about it.
