I'm betting Mordo.

I disliked him at first, and for that same reason. But recently I've taken him as a counterpoint to rusty. He succeeded more, yeah, but he was still a huge jackass and incredibly naive in some ways. And while Rusty was a failure and abrasive, J.J. wasn't really any better of a person and in many respects his non-stop

I originally took the "mortals" thing as just a passing Shakespeare riff. But that name/wind stuff is wild! Holy crap. When did they reveal the names of the Investors, incidentally? I must've missed that part.

2000 had some great tracks, but it also never really sat right with me. I think in some respects a 1:30 song has to be a stronger overall piece than a 4+ minute one, and I never really felt most of the songs on 2000 were up to the challenge.

Not a lot. But enough.

It's a good concept, but the fact that they keep mugging at the camera and over-selling it is what kills the sketch.

Hmm, I'd completely forgotten about that! That's a good point. I guess in a way ME1 Renegade is maybe just more of a Terrain military hardliner who doesn't give a shit for the larger geopolitical scene, a a la MacArthur?

My big issue with the Paragon/Renegade system was how it got diluted over the course of the games. In ME1, it felt more like Paragon was strictly by-the-book while Renegade was an anything-goes-if-the-mission-gets-done approach. But BOTH approaches were singularly focused on the more or less straightforward military

"I Needed Time To Stay Useless?" Sounds like someone's a Cloud Nothings fan.

I love this movie, but the part where they turn into kids and there's a corny musical sequence has not aged well at all. It just comes across as desperate and cloying in and otherwise pretty good film.

Yeah emphasizing that that's the first skill over and over seemed a bit weird to me.

I really don't! I only started watching it because, at the time, summer felt like kind of a wasteland for TV. All my shows are gone! What do I do now?! Oh, here's a kinda okay but mostly mediocre show, I'll watch this…

For what it's worth, Royal Pains has always been EXCEPTIONABLLY bad about this, even in Season 1. 2 examples, off the top of my had: Fairly early on in the show, Dr. What's-Her-Name replaces her Saab with a Prius and she stops to tell Hank about the solar-powered air conditioning that turns on automatically. Also,

The first time I played through Chrono Trigger, I actually knew very little about the game and my mind was completely blown when I got sent into the future for the first time. I remember thinking "THE FUTURE?! IS THIS A SCIFI GAME? I THOUGHT IT WAS FANTASY!" (yes, in all caps, just like that).

This is super weird to say, but the first time I played Chrono Trigger I thought it was weird that Crono wasn't talking once he was brought back from the dead. I thought it was some really deep commentary on how death had immutably changed him, and while he still had a purpose in the world, he was now utterly detached

I'm guessing it'll stick more closely with the standalone Lucifer series they did. It's much more encapsulated than any of Lucifer's Sandman appearances (and frankly I think the character is much better written in his own series, although he's good in both).

I really hope these are just early label mock-ups, too. They're, uh, pretty ugly.

I've been mostly following Original Sin, and it's totally fruitloops. It feels like they chose a bunch of characters purely based on recent and upcoming film releases, then made up the most absurd story possible. The whole thing felt like some early-90s crossover mess.

Yes, Brawl was massively frustrating. The promise of online Smash play was the sole reason I bought a Wii, and Nintendo totally blew it. I don't think Nintendo really "got" ("gets"?) online play.

Oh my god, the Tears in Chocolate Rain Vangelis/Tay Zonday part. Oh my goddddd
