Casino Royale is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's endlessly rewatchable. Great score by David Arnold, great set pieces, great performances, and it's super fun. They never did top this one.

Comedy is subjective, but those opinions are scientifically, biologically and empirically incorrect

I had just discovered that podcasts were a thing because I was obsessed with Conan O'Brien and his website posted that he did a show called Never Not Funny. I thought it was the funniest thing I ever heard. Seeking out more comedians being funny on podcasts, I searched for Patton Oswalt in iTunes and a show came up

I love Scott and Jason shutting down Chip. I remember distinctly walking through the cafeteria at the community college I went to and having to stop dead in my tracks to compose myself. I was shaking with laughter and looked like a crazy person.

The real trick is that the show always has a little something for daddy

I know I said it in the actual review thread, but it's worth repeating: this was an all-time great episode of an all-time great show. Absolutely perfect blend of everything that makes the show great. And for the first time this season, it ended on a message of hope. I loved it.

Oh, totally. Alfred was watching Diane the entire time Diane was studying The photograph. They know something's up.

Didn't it feel super intentional that Candy and Dougie had that scene together? She has so many of the same mannerisms. Maybe she's similarly manufactured, or out of time. I have no idea what the implications of that would be, but it was interesting.

Yeah, I've enjoyed The Return quite a bit, but this felt like an all-time classic. It wouldn't have felt out of place in the original series. Perfect blend of darkness, mystery, humor, soap, melodrama and lightheartedness, all scored with the most Badalamenti score we've had all season, I believe.

There's a lot of things in this world I don't understand, but giving this episode a B is pretty high on the list. This was an all-time great Peaks episode. I have literally no complaints.

I don't understand the narrative that TDKR is some huge disaster. It's not the best Batman film, but it's probably my favorite.

Foolishness

Can anyone explain to me how this game's controls are wonky? In any universe? This is still the best-feeling Mario game out there.

I could write an essay on Mario Sunshine, but suffice it to say: it's my all-time favorite Mario game, and in my opinion the greatest 3D platformer ever made. No 3D Mario game since has given the player so much free form control over the character, or allowed for as much invention. The way you can effortlessly string

Mostly YouTube critics and commenters (I remember a lot of this when Interstellar came out, even on AVC)

I suppose it's something I see more in comment sections and forums than in proper reviews, but it's a comment I've seen more than a few times, including here.

Rian Johnson called it an all-timer on Twitter.

So are we done with this "Christopher Nolan shoots like a television director" bullshit now?

The book is so insane that if you didn't know it was a real film you'd swear it was fiction. Can't wait for this.

Actually, yeah. The general joke is that Sean and Hayes are complete Hollywood douche bags. It's making fun of supposed insider-podcasts, and You Made It Weird-esque shows that really wax poetic about being a low-level comedian. This episode has much fewer inside-jokes than most of their episodes these days.
