Eh, I'll defend the prequel planets. I think portraying the planets as clean and shiny is an intentional juxtaposition with the grimy, war-torn plants of the OT. Don't get me wrong, I'll take these dirty, lived-in planets any day.

No.

For the first fifteen minutes my thought was…"This is terrible." But from the setpiece on Jehta (or wherever) onward, I was totally on board. The action was fantastic, the cast ended up really working, it looked stunning, and it was surprisingly emotional by the end. Like, they really went for it.

They shot it like a horror movie. It was perfect.

A Moon Shaped Pool is just so preposterously good.

Yeah that's some bull. I can't believe there's not an option to turn it off.

I can't wait to hear your Last Guardian thoughts. I bought a PS3 for it as well. And so far it's fantastic. Hope you enjoy it!

Good call on Year of the Remake. It's a little concerning that the two games I've played the most this year were Twilight Princess HD and Skyrim Remastered.

Color Splash is proving to be one of my favorite games of the year. The level design is brilliant, it looks amazing, the writing is hilarious, and the battle system is fun, if a bit too easy.

This weekend I'm playing The Last Guardian. I'm about 4 hours in and honestly…it's a masterpiece. It's everything I wanted it to be and more. I can understand, objectively, the complaints with the controls. But it immediately plays exactly like ICO and SotC, two of my favorite games of all time. I wish the camera was

It looks perfect. They even brought in Ganke from Ultimate Spider-Man. I'm in heaven.

It's really not up for debate, is it? Whether or not it resonates with you, whether you regard it as a masterpiece, those things are up for debate. But I don't think any reasonable person would argue that Ocarina of Time is a bad game.

My game in progress is The Last Guardian, and good lord is it wonderful. Trico may be the most astonishing creation I've seen in a game all year.

My biggest question is whether there's any narrative or visual connective tissue to ICO and/or Shadow of the Colossus? I like how Shadow subtlety implied that it took place in the same world as ICO. I tend to enjoy mythology that's a little ambiguous (hence the LOST avatar, I suppose) and these Team Ico games do a

That's my feeling as well. Reading some of the issues mentioned in reviews, it sounds like stuff I could easily apply to ICO and Shadow. I go into a Team ICO game expecting some clunky aspects.

It was also done in great detail in the exhaustively researched JW Rinzler "Making of Star Wars" books.

Mm, but will he talk about how religion has killed more people than all of the diseases and lizard brains and isn't THAT interesting.

It'll be good to hear that good ol' Benedict Bandersnatch accent again after having to endure his distractingly off American accent in Doctor Strange.

I love it as well! I will say that at first I was irritated by the Abominable Bride. The show can get a little too clever for its own good, and that was sort of the ultimate example of that. But it really grew on me with repeat viewings. I also think "mind palace" is the most embarrassingly stupid phrase I've ever

Trevor Noah's aight, he just doesn't have John Stewart's anger, Colbert's intelligence, John Oliver's poignance or Samantha Bee's everything. Actually maybe he's not so great.
