If I never came across the word “trope” again, it would still be too soon.
Raping a child is not equal to being persecuted for being a Jew.
If they just reposted other sites’ news without being snarky, it just wouldn’t be
He does an entire routine defending a child rapist?
And that co-worker was......you guessed it, Frank Stallone!
Should I have produced this movie? Hell no! Did it get a bunch of Oscar nominations? Oh yeah! Did I marry the leading lady?
Yer damn rightYou bet your ass!
I am, all for it. I think there are nuances to the character of Business Bob Gilbert that have yet to be explored, and only an expanded version of this film can do him justice.
There was a time, I’m told, when arcades were everywhere and kids spent long summer nights pissing away whatever money they had just to lose over and over again in games like Sinistar and Out Run. I missed that period of time by a decade, but that hasn’t stopped me from pining for it, like someone lost in the desert…
Secondhand cultural appropriation. The concept of Taco Tuesday itself is the original appropriation.
Point taken.
The Enemies List, just another Presidential tradition this administration has cheapened.
A really good romantic comedy starring Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman, and Goldie Hawn, who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her efforts.
Featuring Lee Marvin. He’s always drunk and violent!
Tate did buy a first edition of “Tess of the d’Urbervilles” as a gift for Polanski. Though in real life it happened in the summer of 1969, while she was in Europe with him, where he was filming his latest movie. She then left for L.A., and that was the last time he saw her.
I’m not going to definitely see it because of the Tate Murders (although I’m curious to see if he brings Manson’s relationship with Brian Wilson into it)
Yeah, but in this instance, it is not just a comparison. Dramatic character flourishes aside, Will Graham, like Holden Ford, is John Douglas. This is also pretty well known, not some obscure bit of trivia. So complaining that Ford is too much like WIll Graham is fucking ridiculous.
And let’s not forget how, in her recap of this season’s first episode, she expressed fears that Ford might be turning into a Will Graham type.
Season one began in 1977. Presumably the fall of 1977, but definitely not before August, as Berkowitz had already been caught.
As with all things in life, there are levels.
