Back in the day this was true, but since Publix took away the planchas to press the sandwiches the Cuban’s at Publix are shit.

I only had their gazpacho and that’s is one disappointing gazpacho, but the Cubans are out of this world.

Bodega is solid. I like their pork/beef burger, but their Cuban doesn’t touch Stone Soup’s (I go to school in St Pete. Great area for food in general.)

Go to the Stone Soup Comapny (Ybor). Best Cuban in Tampa. The thing that REALLY REALLY sets it apart is the little thing of mojo they provide for dipping. Really gives the sandwich a kick I’ve never experienced elsewhere.

Miami and Tampa fight over where the Cuban sandwich was created. Salami on a Cuban is considered a “Tampa style” Cuban. Also, for it to be a legit Cuban sandwich there MUST be no lettuce, tomato, or other veggies (commonly referred to as the “salad” when talking about Cubans).
