Anyone interested in a layman’s description of the network backbone / infrastructure should read Andrew Blum’s book Tubes. I found it very entertaining.

Is it possible? Yes, of course. It’s not magic. Earthquakes (and Georgian grandmothers) have severed cables causing outages or long delays in the past. You just need enough people to want to access data over limited capacity.
Need to add Mars to the background of that Shia labeouf “just do it” video.
God. fucking. dammit, ThatGuyToolingAroundInTheShitbox.
but people would get upset if we set off nukes to blast enough crap into the atmosphere to start a nuclear winter to counteract global warming
Restarting the core? I know just the team for that.
This article seems rather light (heh) on details. Seems like the exhibit won’t open for another day, but here’s a link :
You know that DC fast charge (the unfortunately named CHAdeMO) predates Tesla, right?
Yeah, the Lowepro I use is like that. Don’t remember the exact model but it’s a few years old.
It looks like you no longer have quick access to the camera. In crowded places, I either put my backpack at my feet (to avoid bludgeoning others) or carry them in front if I’m moving or if the floor is filthy - looks like a dork, I know, but better than having things stolen.

You’re right, my bad. I went to re-check the map after I posted but it was too late to edit. It was a road trip from 3.5 years ago and I stopped at Tacoma before going to the Museum of Flight, then on to Seattle.
Never had the chance myself :( But I did get to walk through the cabin of the one on display in the Museum of Flight in Tacoma. I’ve heard that it was tight, but nothing like seeing it in person.
Ever looked at airline pilot uniforms?
Assuming anyone can pronounce it without going mad :)
I don’t get the outrage anyway. Are we supposed to demand the stoning of the editors of Vanity for using a parody of an image of Jesus?
You know what they say. It’s not easy having green. Or something like that.
And Yahoo being her cross to bear.
