EF-M is only compatible with Canon’s mirrorless cameras. At 28mm on APS-C mirrorless cameras, it has an apparent focal length equivalent of 45mm. Which means the lens has to be fairly close to the subject for 1:1 magnification (assuming it can do that - the 50mm macro can only do 1:2). Ring lights give nice even

Oh great, now I can’t get that song out of my head... :)

Don’t forget pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers.

What could have caused the worldwide depressurization?

I didn’t know what this was in reply to at first (from the notification drop-down), so I thought it was some Soylent Green reference :)

Back when Clinton used Tomahawks against Al Qaeda (and missed killing bin Laden) in ‘98 I read that they’re about $1 million per missile. I don’t think the defense industry operates on industry of scale, so probably more now. Just looked it up. $1 in 1998 is $1.46 now. Wikipedia says a Tomahawk is $1.59 million in

I suppose one could argue that the warhead of a Tomahawk missile can be called “medical supplies”.

Trump’s in luck. This came up on top in my Google search for Made In USA Sledgehammers.

This is great! I don’t need to get sunburnt to get to do this anymore.

Sea level changing inches in decades is not “geological terms”.

Ah, yes, how could I have forgotten Raising Steam. That is one of the few Pratchett books that I did not re-read.

The other quibble I have is the flow / continuity. The later stories definitely don’t flow as smoothly as his earlier ones. I thought this was particularly bad in Snuff. And I still haven’t figured out what Stinky actually is. I agree that we’re privileged to get anything at all with his failing health.

From the article above : “Mercury’s orbit around the Sun is only 88 days long and it passes between our star and the Earth every 116 days”
