Where do you live? It doesn’t look so spectacular to the human eye, but it is pretty breathtaking. This photo is taken by me in northern California (Mendocino county) - 15 seconds exposure at ISO 6400. Higher elevations, darker conditions make it look even more spectacular. The plateau to the north of Grand Canyon,

I wonder where they sell it with that packaging. Never seen it before.

Thought that’s the Milky Way? The first one, not the second.

They’re not going to read my mind. No, sir!

Gods... we most likely were this stupid once, but I must have blocked it out of my memory in self defense.

When Amazon has the infuser I’ll buy a family of Nessies :)

Hey bud, can you spare a cup of water? :)

They have a Nessie ladle as well, and I believe it was also mentioned on Gizmodo some time ago. Found it on Amazon for $6.45 - $7.99 :

People can’t be expected to carry jugs of water from buildings that are miles away.

San Francisco Is Pretty Pissed About the Superbowl Coming to Town

Tailing ponds of some mines can look spectacular in aerial photos. There’s some great examples in Arizona and Utah.

They could also change it to “Thanatos”

I appreciate the effort. And I like “death wheelies”.

Isn’t “unnecessarily pedantic” redundant? :)

I said I was being pedantic, didn’t I? :)

Anything new that is built must not be the result of paybacks in a system of pork-barrel politics but the result of a rigorous, independent financial analysis.

It’s almost 5 p.m. over here, time to be pedantic!

Fortunately we can see the old headlines in the URL, so thanks for the funny photos!

I don’t get it. Why do people think that the article is dissing Walmart? It’s dissing the government. Not having safe drinking water from your municipality, but instead having to rely on bottled water, is characteristic of some 3rd world countries, and could be described as dystopian.

IDK, I read it not as shit about Walmart, but (well deserved) shit about the municipal government.
