Reading back and thinking, it’s just your opening post that really rubs me the wrong way. Doesn’t look like we really disagree about the stuff being discussed here. I’m sure there are things we do disagree strongly about, but let’s leave that for another day. I’ll go back to my peanuts.

My bad, he did bring it up.

Seems that it would be easy to make this into an app. Searching Play store... hmm, don’t see anything yet, but I see a “Push to Swear”...

I see it as “move all these people we don’t want away from where we live” - some similarity to Japanese internment during WWII. Slavery, now that’s another complex topic. At least the orange haired freak hasn’t proposed slavery as a solution to manual labor shortage yet.

This started with Trump’s asinine proposal. It’s about Muslims. How is he wrong to bring in Muslim to the discussion? It’s not about firearms. YOU brought in firearms. He mentioned historical instances where the US behaved disgracefully. He’s correct. YOU called him a libtard for being knowledgeable about US history.

Agree completely, but you left out one group - native Americans.

Long Island Iced Tea sounds about right.

It’s like a car wreck on fire. Most people know it’s horrible, but they can’t help looking.

This being North Korea, you better have fun, or else.

True, competition is good. Knowing these two companies, they’d probably come up with some way not to drive down each other’s prices. But like you say, shitty choice is at least no worse than no choice.

I’ve had both Comcast and AT&T service. Between the two, my AT&T experience is significantly worse. And Comcast experience is not good.

It’s not a plan. It’s just Trump spewing shit from the wrong end, as usual.

If his rhetoric is to be believed, it’s more likely he’d confiscate all your assets, put you in a barge, and tow it out to international waters.

Hackers by Steven Levy is a very entertaining read into the early days of hobby computing :

And it’s kinda brilliant.

I don’t particularly care if they say “thank you” or not to me when I do so - I’m doing it because I don’t want to be rude by letting the door close in their face when they’re directly behind me, not because I’m trying to do them a favor. I do expect them to take over holding the door open for the people behind them

I imagine that with someone fishing for eye contact and giving me a wide smile, that would be a long three seconds.

Heck, why not just ban terrorists? I assure you it would be at least as effective at stopping terrorism as banning TOR.

Wasn’t this in one of Clancy’s books, where they use the cosmic background radiation to create one time pads?
