Aluminum oxide has no aluminum in it?
Aluminum oxide has no aluminum in it?
I’ve been saving this GIF for an appropriate occasion. I think this is it.
But.. but.. set us back a few centuries? You know what that means? That’s right, no more cat videos! Oh, the humanity!
I wish the politicians (and voters) here have as much foresight. What usually happens instead is that during drought years, we talk about desalination plants, and when the rain comes, the money goes elsewhere.
Oh, you’re too kind. I just try to think like a politician.
Short term plan : pass law to only allow solar flares and CME to occur at night. Long term plan : move the sun away from nuclear power to something like, say, solar.
More recently there’s aluminum oxynitride as well, and there might be one that’s even more recent. But can’t pass up the opportunity for that Star Trek joke.
Aw, c’mon, don’t ruin it. :) Alumina is aluminum oxide, close enough, I say.
Finally, transparent aluminum?
10% to 20% is still significant.
I think the author ate one candy too many :)
Nah. Teleportation. I have wireless Internet, but I’m still waiting for the hoseless water spigot.
Depending on the source you go with, anywhere from 10% to 20% is for urban use.
Most of that water flows downhill though. Having to fight gravity almost all the way would really suck.
You’ll be moving water uphill. Sure, it’s doable, with sufficient energy, tunneling. They don’t even bother to pump treated water to the farms right now, and that water is free, being discharged into the bay or ocean. You think they’ll pay money to first build a desalination plant, then pump that treated water over…
California farms are mostly inland, but this will mean that the major population centers won’t be thirsty.
Having mistakenly bought a King sheet and Cal King mattress a long time ago, I had to laugh.
But they’re not treating all data equal. So this is the opposite of net neutrality. Not that anyone is going to complain about data for free - except when we’re choked for data because of people watching movies on their phones.
That’s news to me too! So, climate and health, how can I possibly lose? :)
