Seriously? Congratulations, you’ve had a great week!

I think you are not exploring the full potential of selfie sticks. They make a decent backscratcher and they’re great for hitting siblings two seats over.
If a Mac is running too hot, you turn it upside down so the bottom, where the guts are, is facing up. It helps heat dissipate faster. Also known as the hot Apple turnover.
but the diminished power can potentially lead to problems like overheating
Don’t forget hermit crabs. When they’re molting, they must smell especially delicious to other hermit crabs. A friend’s hermit crab ate the other in the tank when it was molting.
Not just guppies, I’ve encountered this with other livebearers like swordtails, platys, and mollies. The solution is to isolate very gravid females in a birth tank with lots of hiding spot, or in a trap (narrow slit at bottom for newborn to escape). But then you have a separate problem - overpopulation.
Are you referring to film processing, to printing digital photos, or both?
I guess we have to agree to disagree then (not that our opinions make any difference on how Gizmodo does things...) - it was my impression that “on sale” in this case meant that it is finally available for purchase, not that someone lowered their price on an existing product (which would go on Kinja deals). If there…
Personally, if this is the first time the product is available, I’d like to have an article letting me know.
Bragging time : I met and had a short chat with Phil Zimmerman back around 1995, shortly after the Feds decided to stop persecuting him for releasing PGP. It was just a random encounter at a convention, and I’m sure he doesn’t remember anything about it.
Learned a new meaning for “abstract” today. I’ll never look at an abstract class the same way again :)
I’m more curious about “abstracting” electricity.
If the clouds appear yellow, be very afraid.
I’m all for forgoing wars to pay for orbital probes too, but you need to figure a way for companies like Haliburton and Blackwater (apparently now Academi - didn’t even realize this till I googled) to get filthy rich from science projects.
Damn, these are beautiful!
We should use drones for fire fighting aircraft as well.
I was looking through some of the tools listed on iFixit’s website, and came across this little piece of gem :
I agree at one stage it got pretty bad. I’m not going to make any excuses for him - I don’t know him personally and I don’t know his reasons. In one of the last posts I read from him, he came across as someone who has mellowed out a lot. I never did stop visiting Gizmodo altogether, but at one stage I cut down…
Haven’t seen Diaz post anything recently, but he seems a lot more chill the last few times I saw his post, and he came across as someone I would actually like to meet and buy a drink for. I know he was rather impulsive when he first started at Gizmodo. I got unstarred by him a few times then.
I got silently blacklisted on Sploid for among other things politely asking about copyright issues (slapping Sploid logo on animated GIF and cropping out the original logo). At this point I figure it is an issue between Gawker lawyers and the copyright owner.
