Oh ok, in the UK, the first year doesn't count towards your degree, just 2nd and 3rd do. All subjects are like that, other than accelerated and part-time as far as I know. It's so that you can get used to a whole new way of learning without fucking up your degree, I suppose.
And btw, you don't have to worry too much about the results, if its like it is in the UK, first year results don't count towards your degree? And I for one, am pretty damn happy about that :)
