A local theater is putting on a Grease sing-along (and yes I will be going!**). In the comments section on the Facebook event for it a woman asked “is it kid friendly?”. It is an interesting question for me, because as a kid, I watched Grase ALL THE TIME. I was 12 when there was the whole 20th anniversary thing, so…
Tonight for dinner I was going to make a lentil curry for dinner. Then my friend texted me and asked if I wanted to go to Costco. Now this is my dinner.. At least the Bitchin Sauce has a lot of protein? Wine is Chateau Ste. Michelle. It was the first wine I ever had that made me go "wine can be delicious!". I then…
Ten thoughts. Please share your own, even if you don’t have ten.
tury ago my great-great grandmother took up some of her precious covered wagon space with a peony plant. That plant is still alive and producing flowers. When I went to visit my great-aunt this weekend, she handed out flowers to all of us.
Okay, mostly I just wanted an excuse to post this video. Though, clearly Jonathan Coulton is not from Colorado, because this is the view out my office window.
So, I was reading this article about housing discrimination based on astrological sign. Basically a guy was rejected by a housing group based on the fact he was a Capricorn....but the legal community things that suing for discrimination based on that is pretty tenuous.
Yesterday one of my friends said “it’s like trying to sort the recycling in a dumpster fire”. I’d never heard it before, but fell in love. It’s largely the same sentiment as “trying to arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic”, but I just like the visual that one evokes so much more.
How have I not seen this tv show recommended yet? It’s a Netflix series and the premise is your typical family friendly sitcom. Single mom, two kids, her mom lives with them. Except said mom is an Army combat vet that has PTSD; the reason she is a single mom is because her soon-to-be-ex-husband is also an Army vet…
The writer of this piece about this year’s terrifying red White House trees is brilliant.
I just gathered with a bunch of my coworkers into our conference room to watch InSight land. While it didn’t have the flashy drama of watching Falcon Heavy, it went to freakin’ Mars! Then hit at the right angle to not burn up or get deflected, then the parachute launched, then it landed without flipping over, then it…
So, I mostly just made this thread to brag about the cooking I did today.
Have something you are looking for? Or something you just bought that you want to share with the world? Then here is a thread for you!
I have several things to say this Monday morning.
) Grandma still dead. We are working on planning the graveside services. I think the hardest part was telling co-workers/friends and getting the super sympathy and feeling guilty that I don’t feel as bad as I should.
1)I went to bed last night at 845 and slept straight through the night until my alarm at 730. Didn’t realize I was so exhausted...
Because Garfunkle and Oates have killed it again...
I was thinking about this last night before they go to bed. But, I’m sure most of us have a person in our life that changed it without even knowing it. I’m not talking about something big, like an influential teacher, but the small things.
In case you are like me and missed it, apparently today Democrats were supposed to be setting off the second Civil War today. We may have missed the war, but that doesn’t mean we have to miss the tweets! (sorry for so many, but there are a lot of good ones in there!)
It is Tuesday, right? So how is yours going?
