Maybe, if I ever find myself pregnant and decide not to keep the baby, I will give it up for adoption with the stipulation that it CANNOT be adopted by a straight or Christian couple. I think everyone who chooses the adoption route should consider doing the same.

Actually, that isn't true- at least not in the theatre/film scene where I am from. There are about 15 actresses to every actor. I personally believe that men are less likely to want to put in the work- and yes, acting is work.

As an actor, this issue speaks to me- there are virtually no good stage roles for females under the age of 45. I've also noticed that every third script I read calls for a female character in underwear and nothing else. Clearly, the art world does not always lead the way in progressive attitudes.
