What does going "between countries" have anything to do with train travel? There is easily a market for dedicated high speed trains all over the northeast and down to DC at the least. One could make a case for tracks stretching from Portland Maine to Miami, and there is definitely a need for intersecting regional

As awesome as these cars are, they're really not easy to live with. You definitely sacrifice a bit more than your average sport coupe. Then again, you end up with a bit more as well

I just watched that movie last weekend

Didn't see anything in the announcement about battery supply chain and manufacture. I assume that they have it figured out, but it would be cool to hear how they're handling it

It’s shocking how big the car is on the inside. I think that engine power would be more of a concern with the weight

There is some serious masochism going on here

This happened in my neighborhood. The bears here are hilariously destructive. There was one that figured out how to open sliding doors. It went into my friend’s basement, flipped the chest freezer, and stole a bag of dog food. We spent half the day wondering what it tried to accomplish, because none of the freezer

3rd Gear: To be fair, it was the Roman Republic that fought the Pyrrhic War, not the empire.

The feature that I don’t need is any user interface programmed by a car manufacturer. Just give me Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and buttons for the rest. Seriously, manufactures, if you’re reading this, please give up on UI programming. You suck at it

This thing looks exactly what we all thought it would, and it's still disappointing

I have to imagine that if they had "tuned" on the electric side, it would have been approved

I just don’t know why I’d go for a sedan over anything with a hatch. The A5 and A7 basically being the only sport backs is mystifying to me. Bring on the sport backs!

I have to assume that this is not being offered in the States because of the current state of imports. Because otherwise, I have no idea why not

By the time Chevy comes out with a decent economy diesel, competitors will have hybrids. GM has really dropped the ball, and nothing I'm hearing is suggesting that they have a viable long term plan

Honestly, the integrated ones aren’t going to age any better. All these screens will look dated in 10 years regardless of whether or not the dash is swallowing it

And people have mild to moderate freak outs about battery and hydrogen fires...

The design language is so close to Volvo's that they do make it tough on us to figure out how we should should be thinking about it. He'll, that coupe profile is a near direct descendant of vintage Volvos

G80 and G90 selling well is news to me

It doesn't equate to problems per vehicle, as one vehicle can have 100 problems. However, I still agree with you. The categories probably include dumb things. Kind of like when Ford took a "reliability" hit in Consumer Reports when people couldn't get Sync voice features to work

Every time I go to Europe, I wish I could own a 1 Series hatch. The proper RWD iteration. I was living in Italy for a few and nearly pulled the trigger on one. Sigh
