Toyota does this with most of its vehicles. They’re slow to change, but that’s what gives them a reputation of reliability and durability. People don’t plunk down eye watering cash for 1, 2, and 3 generation old Land Cruisers for no reasons, and they definitely do it for Tacos as well.

yea. I really think that what everyone wants to know is, ‘pros and cons vs Miata’. Especially considering driving behavior

Can we just get a plug-in pickup already? Something that goes ~40 miles on a charge would sort of eliminate any need in my life for a more efficient vehicle alongside my utility vehicle

Except what makes sedans so good when gas prices go up? In Europe, gas is crazy expensive. Guess what? Sedans do not sell well there. It’s time to accept the fact that sedans basically have nothing on hatches, wagons or small CUVs.

Extremely late to the party, but Jalopnik commenting has stopped working with my phone...
Anyways! Any vehicle other than something reliable with 4 doors, 4/Awd and a large-ish cargo hold is a wrong answer. There is little to no driving enjoyment to be had on Maui, and you don’t want to have a need for more than one

Ignoring the collective ranting of bloggers and vocal internet commenters, this design is almost objectively ugly. It’s not like an Audi where one could say, well, it’s got an obnoxious grille, but at least it’s decently handsome. This 7 Series is just plain bad looking. BMW could have easily made something better

What I want to know is, exactly who are these ads made for? What target demographic is going to sucker up to these “real people” ads?

I honestly don’t know! Though I think eliminating Ford’s sedans will prove to be a dumb move.

You’ve kind of given a bad example. I think that the Ford tack-on is cleaner than the border button bonanza that is the Ram

I’m sorry to say, but this is common knowledge

Is getting the manual worth the interior and engine downgrades?

If you didn't love Group B *before* this video, then you have no soul

CP out of sheer spite that Subaru doesn’t make a current Baja, so the turbos go for stupid prices. Then again, if there was a current Baja, it would be auto only...

“Not to be too alarmist or aggressive toward Uber, but their technologies and policy, or lack thereof, directly resulted in the death of a woman earlier this year.”

I’m confused at how Tesla releases Autopilot for public roads but doesn't feel confident in using it in a literal closed environment

Although I can understand why people get into them, the problems with watches is that I can *always* think of something else I'd rather spend the money on

Honestly, I think that the modern judicial system lacks the art of public humiliation. A good shaming can reduce certain behaviors that a private punishment such as a fine cannot

Lincoln is making 80 of these. The price is irrelevant to you, me, and anyone who isn’t already on the list of 80 people already signed up to buy one

An electric pickup with a small, diesel range extender would be the only vehicle that I would ever need to own

A lot of people are complaining about price, but they're making 80 of these things. You guys... All of them are going to sell with little to no issue. The price, at that level, is irrelevant
