Seeing something like this but with a bit more of ‘The Order to Stop the Construction’

Under all his smiles and silliness, Wonka is tired. Bone tired. He has had to play the face to the zealously industrious Oompa Loompas for much of his life and, through them, his dream of being a chocolateer has become a living

As with ZSJL before this, I can’t help but wonder if part of that is a product of the fact the expectations were much lower for one than the other.

Hell, it was a pretty standard issue twist ending for Italian zombie films.

“Yeah? Keep playing with fire, super-pants! YOU DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH FIRE YOU’RE PLAYING WITH! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”

You say this as though crypto wouldn’t take its place given the opportunity.

I’m seeing this fitting into a Rick & Morty response to crypto-currency way too easily.

Still kind of want it though.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again - the more you look at them in macro, the more it feels like television/serialized drama was always a means to an end for Netflix.

Their first attempt to break into film didn’t pan out into the awards they wanted it to, so they put it all into making series. The series got them

Movies don’t get non-renewed.” -- I refuse to believe you’ve never seen a movie bait the hook for a sequel that ultimately never came.

Our hero, ladies and gentlemen of the internet...

Additionally - we’re kind of at the point where hearing Whedon was creepy to a woman is pretty documented and so this feels pretty par for the course.

Whedon being racist, that’s one with a smaller pile of receipts to back it up, so I can see why people might want to verify.

Not to say Whedon is unimpeachable race-wise,

He also didn’t do himself any favors in the middle of this when he made his ‘It’s me or Hamada’ ultimatum.
If you’re coming in telling them ‘Fire this producer who’s been around for a while’ from Fisher’s relatively new position, that either means you’ve got said producer on some truly reprehensible shit or you have,

The old line from Speed comes to mind:

“You’re crazy! You’re fucking crazy!”
“No! Poor people are crazy, Jack! I’m eccentric!”

I felt kind of bad for thinking this way. Then I remembered we’re talking about the same guy who very publicly accused someone of being a pedophile with no evidence to back it up, simply because the guy wounded Elon’s pride by pointing out his proposed way of saving people trapped in a cave would do more harm than

To be fair, the past four years have shown just how much damage a hopeless narcissist with a lot of money and a devoted base can do while technically never having made anything themselves.

Also, let’s be honest, he would still TOTALLY be down for some Bond villain grade ridiculousness, even if he had to contract it out

I can’t say I agree with best.

Having said that, the older I get, the more I find myself ranking it over The Last Crusade without even feeling bad about it.

(Connery and Ford are charming together, but they can only do just so much to distract from some of the issues with that script.)

This is why I’m genuinely interested to see what he does with Villeneuve’s Dune. Rabban is a character that, on paper, is mostly just a sadistic brute, but based off the trailer so far, and seeing how Villeneuve knows the man’s got range, it will be interesting to see if he goes with something a bit colder and more

At this point, I’m pretty well convinced most celebrities look at the fandom property wars and how bitter people get over their IPs and just have a moment of “...are you fucking serious?” before either laughing it off or just shaking their head in utter disbelief.

The opening credits to Dawn of the Dead and Watchmen are where I get my stance that Zack Snyder was born 10 years too late and would have been a god of music videos during their heyday.

But Hank Scorpio is presented as a genuinely caring boss who will happily hear out his employees and do what he can to act in their best interests, even if it means it goes against his own.

Ironically, Elon here playing the part that is traditionally seen as the exact opposite to Tesla.
