Small banks, especially in my area, are fast becoming a thing of the past. Regions, Wells Fargo, BB&T and RBC are buying up everything in sight. Even the small banks are going big-Robertson Bank of Demopolis, AL operated a single branch for over 100 years; now it has 7 branches stretching into Birmingham.

You should have been nervous. I’m willing to bet one of the tellers told their friends and associates outside the bank about you and how much you had, and giving a full description of you.

The only time a bank teller looked at me suspiciously while I made a withdrawal was when I needed $9,990 in cash from a bank just a few miles from an international airport. There was a small committee meeting of tellers and the bank manager for about 10 minutes before they finally gave it to me. (Why yes, I am white.)

Their social media on Facebook and Twitter mentions are in shambles. Then they  had the nerve to use this Black woman executive as some sort of olive branch to show the bank isn’t racist.

Then I got cheated by their Coinstar machines . Put in $200 worth of change, got $17 back, complained on the spot to the management, who did nothing.
