So when we vote Republicans into a position of irrelevance; we can have nice things?

Really, if all Biden does is fire all of Trumps toadies, repeal his tax break, then suck on his thumb and spin around in his chair for the next four years, it would be an improvement over Trump.

Yeah but you Bernie stans called her a snake and a cunt. Why would she or her supporters join with bernie now after such treatment.. Bernie toxic cult could never unify the Democratic base. He is not a unifier. It’s why he’s never really achieved anything in 29 years in Congress. Except give nice speeches promoting

So what you are saying is that Biden benefitted from the fact that people went out and voted for him.

Did you mean student loan debt? Current balance is $1.5 trillion. He could wipe out 4% of that. Reparations? He could give every black person in America $1,500. Not sure what it would cost to give NYC the greatest subway system in the world but I venture it’s more than $65 billion.

“racism? i dont understand. by the way, can you vote for me to be the president of the united states? dont pay any attention the black people in my small town, i sure dont.”

I used to think that about teachers until I went college (a teacher’s college) and the next generation. I realized that people are just people everywhere no matter their position. They come in all flavors and styles.

I remember as a child thinking that the people who got in to positions of power had been vetted, earned their place and would tend to use their power in a fair and impartial manner.

I can’t tell what’s worse: that she abuses her authority by fucking deputies, that’s she’s “Jackie Gleason as a 70s car chase movie sheriff” racist, or that’s she’s one of those thirsty ass people who blasts your phone with too many texts.

This does seem like biting the hand that feeds considering how big a part of her fanbase “the gays” supposedly are. But anybody who laughs and cheers along with her catty judgements about other people’s lives every other day has no business getting upset when the heel is on the other foot.

You’re leaving one thing out though, whenever Trump punks out it’s the GOP who controls him. I agree with what you’re saying about Bloomberg and I hope he doesn’t get the nomination, but if a literal piece of dog shit was on the ballot I’d vote for it over Trump.

Your lack of empathy is worrying for your job. A raped woman outed smeared intimidated death threats called a crazy slut no privacy for being raped at her workplace etc .. and you want to retraumatise her by Forcibly making her more likely to be murdered , attacked etc. Ruin her life even more, require witness

I respect your point about how silence only helps the accused. I believed the same thing for a long time. I’ve had many friends who were assaulted never report and it angered me for a long time.

And yet here I am, gainfully employed. But to clarify, I never said violence is an acceptable response to anything. I said violence is a potential consequence. If you get slumped for talking crazy about somebody that’s on you. That ain’t my cross to bear.

I think we can all agree that Kobe didn’t deserve to die

Just to add a bit more info to what you said: Kobe’s victim is bound by a non-disclosure agreement as part of the civil suit that he settled with her. I know a journalist reached out to her a few years ago for a story when he was up for the Oscar, and she said she could not talk for that reason. She may very well want

“If Kobe was a rapist, he represented a ongoing danger to every woman around him.”

I understand your point, but I do not think I agree with it. The facts of the case have matured as far as is possible now (with the accuser’s silence and Kobe’s death). What is the value of asking people who were not present for the alleged assault their “opinion” as to whether he did it or the impact the allegations

. She’s not interviewing the accuser, social scientists, or commentators on gender hierarchy in the USA.

I think the concern is that it’s the journalists who are driving the narrative, not people on the ground. It’s become abundantly clear that Kobe’s colleagues, family, and friends are not going to discuss or give credence to the allegations of rape. And the vast majority of basketball fans are not asking for additional
