In other news: The justice system is working as intended

Get out of here with your sense of perspective. Don't you realise that some ding dong on a blog who was probably at school when the financial crisis happened definitely would have known how to fix it all in an unimpeachably left wing manner that no-one could possibly criticise a deacade later?

A couple things can be true:

I dunno, there seems to be a division between people who want to help the poor and middle class, even if that might involve eating the rich, and those who want to eat the rich, even if that might mean helping the poor and middle class.

Actually, I side with the Pod boys in this case. I’m not saying they couldn’t have accomplished more, but we REALLY DON’T KNOW. They raise fair points, and the predictable ultra-purism of this site is pretty predictable in singling these guys out when they weren’t the actual Chiefs of Staff and cabinet secretaries…

I have no idea how we’ve managed to hide our racism from the world for so long, unless it’s because we’re not as scrutinized as the US. Our treatment of First Nations people should make us an international disgrace.

But what’s the harm in taking the patient in and monitoring her as she progresses? None. It’s the profit/cost-reduction motives on the part of hospitals (and doctors and nurses who don’t want to work more than they feel they have to) that’s the factor.

My sister almost died behind this kind of nonsense! She went into labor 3 weeks earlier than expected. Had to have an emergency C-section and was discharged from the hospital in less than 10 hours!

So, basically Minnesota nice, but more north? That tracks.

The real tea is that White Canadians, especially the Quebecois, are some of the most low-key racist people I’ve ever lived and worked around. The only difference between them and the American Whites is that they manage to hide their utter contempt for Black and Brown people a little better.

Voting for the NDP over the Liberals is like voting for Jill Stein over Hillary Clinton. Principles matter, but elections have consequences.

Passive aggressive system forces women and people of color to be be aggressive in order to get any kind of service, then refuses services because “aggression.” This is a feature, not a bug, for the status quo. This isn’t an accident, it’s by design.

Both my maternal grandparents got turned away at hospitals numerous times! They turned out OK!

But importantly it doesn’t become their problem. They will likely be dead by the time the consequences of their actions occurs, while their wealth and power makes sure they are among the last to actually deal with repercussions of any others. 

Yes, please list the names of the scientists, their background, and who they work/consult for. 

You mean that list of scientists that is mostly not climate scientists, and includes several non-scientists?

So tired of politicians who don’t realize how liquids and gases work. Any trash dumped into the ocean by anyone becomes everyone’s problem.
