I said you should hope for it. I know she’s not going to jail, no hope needed here.

I didn’t even put that together before now, you are a personal hero of mine.

I know she didn’t win, it’s been all over the news.

Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina aren’t politicians.

Trump said things two things worse per week than Romney’s 47% comment.

That’s what I want to discuss though.

Thank you for the explanation. Explain something else then, why Trump?

A savage take, but that doesn’t mean you are wrong.

I agree with you, I was just ranting. I should have said it differently.

I think they were just coming up with a reason to not vote for Hillary.

I just don’t understand why people voted for Trump. I understand they wanted to mess with the establishment (even though they clearly didn’t, considering how much of the legislative branch was re-elected), but Trump is the establishment! How were people able to just ignore that he was born with a silver spoon and

You may be right, but that doesn’t mean that she would have lost. All we can go on is the actual numbers we have, which point to Clinton winning the popular vote.

Why do you believe no one would vote third party if the election is by popular vote? Voters knew third party had no chance in this election and they still voted for them. Protest votes would still happen, and seeking the 5% for funding would still be a goal for those parties.

I think that system should definitely be considered more in other states. Nebraska does that as well.

I think California is a great example, so keep using it. Also 1% is projected, and we have seen how well projections have done this election!

I feel the same way, thanks for putting it into words that I could not. I’m horrified about last night, and we need to do whatever we can to salvage this situation and help others who need it. The work starts now.

Hey, thanks for the comment! I love dialogue. But I would appreciate it if you read what I have written before you reply though. I never said I wanted a democracy, and in another reply I said the opposite. Just pointing out the popular vote totals, just because they don’t decide the president doesn’t mean I have to

According so some sources, she could end up winning by 1%:

People will use it as a reason to be anti-electoral college, but I’m with you. I’m from a small state (Wyoming) and I’m glad that we do get some sort of voice, even if I don’t agree with how the vote there turn out. Without this system, the issues in rural areas would be borderline ignored.

According to google right now Hillary barely won the popular vote:
