It just sounds so god damn gimmicky and needless. It would do nothing to further the originals, and would never live up to them.

If she didn’t kill him, what was she crying about afterward? If she didn’t kill him where is he when she runs off with their daughter? God I hate fan fiction. If you’re so good, write your own story, don’t mess with other people’s.

The crux of his argument, aside from the name not being crossed out in the credits- which I admit I find annoying- is that Bill is play acting that he is dead to free The Bride from his influence and allow her to leave with the child.

“Brutally murdered by a gang of assassins on our wedding day.” That’s a no brainer.

Bill is as dead as fucking Julius Caesar.

I went to a noon screening of JL on Saturday. The parking lot was packed, but in my theater it was barely 2/3 filled, which means everyone was there to see other movies.

This is a great post.

1. The first film went out of its way to set up the actual idea for a sequel (if you don’t remember it, that better explains this post).

2. Every. Single. Element. of emotional catharsis in the finale of Volume 2 comes down to the fact that, in all its complex shades, she finally managed to rid

His lawyer says he was investigating an international underground fighting ring and he was murdered by ninjas.

How did Uma Thurman not turn into an action movie badass after these films?

His death is referred to in the credits when “kill bill” rolls across the screen.

If it were truly like the Dollars Trilogy, wouldn’t the new movie be thematically similar to Kill Bill and have Uma Thurman playing a similar archetype, but in all other respects be a different story?

Yeah, it wasn’t like Rory treated Marty well as a friend and he was mad that she didn’t hook up with him. She just was an asshole to him.

They could just get Oscar to do it.

It did for me personally, in that by the end I no longer cared what happened to any of the characters.

Arrested Development could survive without Tambor a lot easier than Transparent could.

i know lots of the solutions for writing people out involve killing the character off, but a lot of season 3 revolved around maura not being heart-healthy enough to have confirmation surgery. she is elderly. elderly people can die suddenly. but there are very few examples of sitcoms carrying on well after losing

Yeah, the classist LADB stuff really struck me hard at the Marty/restaurant scene. That’s an awful feeling for anyone who has or had wealthier friends, but the way it’s played isn’t quite right (almost like Logan belatedly and dickishly offering to pay is meant to be absolving, though they’re clearly humiliating him)

Nah, you can be gay and still shitty to women. Doesn’t Kathy Griffin tell a story in her act about him pulling her top down?

Why would you share this. This isn’t our business.

I wasn't a fan of Brad Pit when I was younger. But when I look back at his earlier work now, he definitely was exceptionally handsome when he was younger. I get his appeal now.
