Honestly, I wish we’d just merge our regulations for safety and emissions with the same ones Europe has. Canada would follow suit and with more standardization, prices would come down and the consumer would be the winner.

Bingo. At this point in my life I don’t see any reason to be loyal to capitalism like America says I’m supposed to be. And that extends to America which put the rigged system in place.

Keeping as many people as possible in a poverty level that’s low enough for them to have to take out high-interest loans for everything, but not so low that they become a burden to the system, is the entire function of Capitalism.

My favourite was PC Gamer’s subheading for their review of Cyberpunk 2077:

I think what some people are missing is that Jenny is upfront about how she saw other people having a great time and loving the whole experience. She’s not denying that, but pointing out the ways Disney built it to prioritize profitability over making sure every guest had a good time (which was something the parks

I do too, but work is work.

Good work, friend. Pithy wordplay headlines are a dying breed, and that makes me very sad. I still think back fondly on IGN’s glowing review of Wonder Woman, titled simply: AMAZON DELIVERS.

How does the SEC allow this?

It obviously cost too damn much — and I’ve heard tell that it was still profitable running at 50% capacity, which (if true) means the prices were literally twice as high as they needed to be — but I’ve always thought it was such a telling flaw that they didn’t offer any sort of accomodations for single guests.

I actually love the idea of a Star Wars themed hotel where I get to hang out and drink in the cantina with aliens and a galaxy viewport or whatever. But load my schedule up with 16 hours worth of tasks? No thanks.

Nicholson: My sister doesn’t like you.

As a 40 year old parent of two, I’ve noticed that there seems to be a market for young adults with a massive amount of expendable income, and I’m just sitting here wondering if I need to cancel my Netflix account to save $15 a month.

Now that Starcruiser is closed, I wonder if Disney will try to shoehorn the Halcyon into other Star Wars media. Disney put a lot of effort into the worldbuilding of the Halcyon including its own comic series. They even made it into the place where Han and Leia had their honeymoon.

At least with this one, you could make the argument that people weren’t going to spend a lot of time in their rooms

After much thought and consideration, I would like to windmill-slam the WITHOUT button, please.

“Oooooh, yew or-most ‘ad me!”

So it’s not as good as the one made by the Coen Brothers?

You know the AVC’s official policy: pop culture didn’t exist before 2009.

Maybe they’re building up to it... it has to be kind of painful to say goodbye to such a massive legend in the history of cheap, crappy, but fun film-making.
