Uhhhh… I’m in Florida and have been fighting the good fight here against bigots and bigotry for decades, and I’m freaking delighted that Nevada got it right.  We sure as h*ll didn’t, and a lot of people who have been fighting for basic human rights in this heckhole are damn glad that Nevada gave us a win.

In all fairness there is no “right” way to process trauma, but there are certainly some wrong ones.

Hela was what Galadriel would have been if she had kept the One Ring.

Jokes aside, it’s hard to think of a more enjoyable movie with “and” in the title than Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. (Strangelove is great but I always appreciated it more than I enjoyed it.) Beauty and the Beast, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Sex, Lies, and Videotape are some other good ones.

False. There have been three:

We hearing about this on The Diane Rehm Show?

Gerbils are banned in California due to the potential threat they could pose to farm ecosystems, but they let that monster destroy fresh produce for decades unfettered. World’s tiniest violin playin’ here just for Gallagher.

He was the only actor who brought a sense of joy to the character and the world of Batman, which is why everyone has such positive memories of The Animated Series. Whereas with the movies, they try so hard to insist on their seriousness that they’re often just not fun.

Processing this, I come back to this line from Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker that feels quite apt right now in honor of Mr. Conroy and what he meant to many of us:

I let out a “NO!” at work when I learned this news. RIP to a legend.

RIP.

Him an Hela managed to do something thats really hard to do with proper villains , make them actually funny.

Such an integral part of my childhood. This one will hurt for a while. Incredibly, we’ve still never gotten a performance like this from any other Batman:

Most live-action actors lean into a special voice for Batman. Kevin Conroy did the opposite; he made it seem like “Batman” was his natural speaking voice and that “Bruce Wayne” was the affectation.

I liked him quite a bit, but I think the “dad talk” scene really makes the character. I remember some of his other scenes, but he and Holland knock that one out of the park

The list and the criteria are a bit wack but I feel like Kilgrave should be higher. His aims were banal but his methods were so terrifying. The idea of his mind control and how it’s described, that’s such a violation. Being forced to do something terrifying or painful while a corner of your mind screams in horror,

I watched WandaVision right before Doc Strange 2, and was like oh, ok, we’re doing this now. That lady’s a bad guy now.

I liked Ultron. He was a wise ass.
