It’s almost like a founding principle of conservatism is believing you’re better than everyone else and telling them what to do (and those sweet, sweet tax savings).

See the problem is thinking Caitlyn Jenner identifies as Trans.

Yup. Jenner’s transition is very different than most. She had wealth, a supportive audience (via reality TV show), and a history of being in the public eye as celebrated athlete.

Jenner has always shown her ass. She’s one of those “I got mine, screw everyone else” people. Her life experience is white, wealthy, decorated, and celebrated athlete.

Remember: one of the two great equalizers is money. Your gender, race, sexuality, religion — everything is stripped away the moment you become rich and join that elite club. Nothing and no one else matters to a rich person except other rich people and their pet causes. Caitlyn Jenner would burn down a thousand trans

This is so sad and predictable as we already have seen how ciswomen on the right love to spew hatred at ciswomen on the left for not being a woman “the right way.” Now it’s a conservative trans woman telling another trans woman “you’re not doing it the right way.” Good for Mulvaney for sticking up for herself but also

“Free speech; schmee schpeech! $44B isn’t gonna earn itself back!”

The people who post on Twitter aren’t Twitter’s actual “Users”, they’re the product. Without people posting on Twitter the product is completely worthless. The advertisers are the actual users, as they’re the businesses who pay Twitter to run their ads around all the entertaining posts.

So like are they gonna put any “shows” on their newly acquired CW channels? Will it just be nonstop archival Benny Hill Show episodes? Or six primetime hours a day of actors looking sad because their shows were cancelled?

A faster way to kill Twitter would be to put it in front of a self-driving Tesla.

In my experience the specific libertarianish cretin type that Musk embodies uses “interesting” to mean “I see this evidence, but do not believe it, and will continue to believe in my own bullshit instead.” It suggests a level of engagement in the conversation while indicating that they’ve actually completely checked

And what about the local governments, elected officials, hospitals and critical agencies who don’t pay? What happens in a time of crisis when they need to reach citizens?

As someone who tried twitter for about 3 weeks 8 years ago I find it hilarious how so many people who spend a lot of time in online comment sections can’t wrap their head around twitter, why it appeals to some people... and the fact someone being incredibly online in one way is somehow incredibly different (to the poin

I feel like Musk’s “interesting” basically translates to “I find your lack of faith disturbing.”

Geez, even Something Awful only charged $10.

It’s no What Up With Dat, but it still gave me a chuckle just for that bit of goofy weirdness, and yes I like Tom Hanks too.

I don’t know what it is but this skit just cracks me up...Tom Hanks seems to love it and it is so absurd that I can’t stop laughing

I think its the right mix of goofy and “weird for the sake of weirdness”. Also surprisingly wholesome.  Its not the best thing ever but I thought the original was funny

Same here. It’s perfectly harmless. I’m happy for the people who love it.

i don’t get the love for this sketch at all...but if you do...i hope it gives you great pleasure!
