I forgot to ask, when was your application due for the school you heard back from? I'm trying to figure out how long I'll have to wait. It's only been 2 weeks and I'm already stressing!

You can totes get it with a condom, even if no outbreak.

I only applied to one program. Hopefully I'll hear something by February or March.

Thanks, now I can't stop staring at her crotch. You've made me a perv.

He's just so darn cute!

I'm not really a fan of hers, in general, but I kind of thought this was awesome. Although I agree with another commenter here who said that s/he hopes the formal non-apology doesn't become the next thing. It's brillz the first time. The next thousand times? Not so much.

I think I was 10 or 11 the first time I made out with someone. And we didn't even have texting! So either I'm just a power slut (which is a possibility), or this isn't a big change from like 15 years ago.

Well shit. Now I *HAVE* to get my hands on some polite British commentary!

Thanks! No matter what happens, a Jezebel open thread will hear about it. Either with excitement or to pick me up from the crushing disappointment.

Maybe ours just aren't on the top of the stack. If they were, we'd definitely know by now. On account of all the awesome. How can we stay in touch to be waiting support??!?

The great news is that I can't imagine there's anyone else in the applicant pool with my same focus! I only turned this stuff in on the 31st, and I already feel like I'm not going to be able to wait until they make decisions!

Hilarious story about eHarmony: in college, some of my friends and I decided to do the "review your matches for free" thing on the website. We filled out these huge personality questionnaires, and when it came time to see my matches...they told me I was unmatchable. Well, not in so many words, but the gist was

It's only been like 5 days and I'm already dying from waiting.

That's the thing that people don't get. I'm glad you realized that! It's a sad state of affairs, but when the most snow you usually get is maybe 1/4", maybe once a year, there's just no reason to put the time and money into getting the equipment/infrastructure set up. The shoe's on the other foot come 100+ degree,

I mean any of those things! God forbid there's an actual snowflake. :) As for the work situation, I work for a college mostly. I must admit I'm starting to get tired of having nothing to do.

It's a Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies PhD program at University of Kansas. I'm a sign language interpreter, so my research focus would be something to do with sexuality and Deafness. I haven't really narrowed it much from there. Maybe something to do with English proficiency in the Deaf community as it relates

I'm a freelancer with no jobs planned this week. So I don't have to worry about going out in it. I really feel for people who do! You know how Nashville drivers are adamant about making weather situations less safe.

Oh no! Not at all! We just very rarely get any, and thus have zero infrastructure for snow. I was kind of looking forward to having a legit snow day, but it's not looking like it's going to happen. Everyone would freak out if we had anything resembling an actual snow storm. :)

1. Thanks! I went to meet with the chair of the program in November and she seemed really jazzed about my research focus, so that's a good sign. But they only admit 3 people, so there's a lot of competition!

I have so much to talk about! (No one cares.)
