Wait, what? Get drunk with her? He left her at the office on Christmas Eve saying he wanted a draft in his inbox by morning. She definitely drank alone. I know you have a radar that makes you look for the worst in male characters but he was just trying to redeem himself for the crappy way he treated Ben IMO.

I thought it was more about the sheer balls he had to take the Punisher's case. Yeah that was really Matt's decision. But they work together so nobody knows that.

Also gotta say I'm disappointed that they've left Karen's past dangling for another season. Hopefully Matt's reveal to her at the end will lead to revelations on that front. There's definitely a whole lot more to it than a dead brother.

"but looking back, their big efforts to help Grotto and defend Castle kind of went nowhere."

I know they'll probably make up eventually. But for now I'm really glad they stuck to their guns and kept Matt and Foggy apart for now. It would have been too unearned if they'd patched things up right at the end.

Back in the trial when Clancy Brown was introduced in the show I thought "Oh shit Clancy Brown is always an asshole." At the end I accepted I was wrong.

I just hope Brett never decides to retireā€¦

Yeah it was this episode. Haven't watched past it yet.

I feel like there has to be more to Karen's past than just some accident.

Matt: "You're dead"

At this point I feel comfortable saying that this season blows the first season out the water.

Best courtroom outburst since Tyrion Lannister.

I agree with the cliche dialogue but I definitely don't think Elektra was out of character.

Last season had too many episodes and not enough plot to cover it. Now with this ending I'm actually worried six more episodes won't be enough to cover the entire season's story.

Six episodes down. Fast-paced story. No filler. Seemingly plenty of story left to tell.

Yeah I get where she's coming from but at the same time it makes me wonder how she'd react to a man losing his family in real life. Probably "Lol tropes cry me a river". Kind of messed up.

I'm a bit disappointed with the inconsistency with the hint at Elektra last season.

I didn't find this episode boring in the slightest. It was more exciting and fast-paced than a lot of the season one episodes.

I'm not ashamed to admit I almost cried during Frank's cemetery monologue.

Actually I'm the opposite. I'm finding it far more interesting on the second go around. The first time the pacing just felt so sluggish and some bits were hard to follow. Now knowing what to expect and where the narrative is headed I'm finding it much more compelling overall.
