Back in January, I met the match through my 403b and put everything else in a Roth IRA. I didn’t know until February that I could play catch up for last year in the IRA. In April, I was able to max out 2016! Yay for finance goals! Now I can hopefully max out 2017.

TV: Parks and Rec, Broad City, Drunk History

Oh, my goodness. I’m glad he’s doing better. I feel you—we’re talking about kids now, and I was just thinking today about how there are certain things I know I’m not going to be able to handle anymore once they come into the picture.

My husband always laughs when I get all choked up over a song I’ve heard a million times, but now I have science to back me up. Currently, the two things that give me the waterworks are both from Hamilton: “It’s Quiet Uptown” and the line in the last song when the chorus says, “the orphanage.”

Thank you!

Question: Do you know what happens if you’re married? Husband and I each have a 401(k), and I have a Roth IRA that I maxed out for the year. Can my fuzzband also do this?

I found their website confusing too, but I called them. The guy walked me through the whole thing button by button. Now it’s really simple, and I can set up automatic transfers straight to the fund too.

Also, tell them about health benefits/disability scams. I’ve been getting these calls several times a day at my work phone, and it’s been making my blood boil that they’re taking advantage of naive people.

There’s an extension for that: Make Kittens Great Again. It replaces pictures of Trump on your browser with kittens!

Thanks! My rule right now is that I have to get through the pile next to my bed. If I come across a book I’m interested in, I put it on my Amazon Wishlist.

Thank you! Do you have the name of the extension?

Hahaha. It’s also my parents’ anniversary.

Books. I’m putting it in writing now to hold myself accountable on April 1. I have too many I haven’t read.

I am also on a kick to get back into my pre-college reading habits. I do the “complete the cycle” trick., trying to read a minimum of 25 pages a day. Of course, there are always strange days, but those days, I read at least one page. It’s tiny, but it’s progress. Also, when I crack open a new book, I divide the number

Absolutely. I work with teenagers who ask me all the time why I wear dresses and leggings. I always tell them that pants are the worst. Also, everyone assumes I’m way fancier just because I’m wearing a dress. They are still not convinced, but someday, life experience will lead to them to the comfort zone.

If possible, look for another job. I suffered in an environment like that for awhile. When I moved on and had a new boss (who is awesome), I realized I had been in a toxic place. I know it’s not always possible to switch, but there are good workplaces out there.

I absolutely agree! I loved the resources that appeared (or were made more obvious) during this election. One of my personal frustrations, however, is that it’s harder to find resources for local/state elections. A lot of the attention is on the federal level, so I’m hoping that by the next election, there’s some

My iPhone automatically had it in there. If you have the U.S. holidays calendar on, Apple has you covered, but this is a good opportunity to add an alert to the event.
