Don't think I've been inside my personal bank in about 25 yrs - maybe longer. As you get older, the years blend together. In fact, I think I opened my accounts over the phone too. I can't recall ever walking into a branch - ever. They easily handle everything over the phone, via mail or via the internet.
But I like dumping a handful of coins on the counter at Taco Bell. It is almost like a free meal!
Why?
Not all SSL, just the versions that everyone and every browser uses. There are ways for server admins to change their settings to use a different cypher. I think that mitigates the known attack vector until TLS 1.1 becomes standard .... someday. Hopefully, the openssl guys are working on making it bugfree and fast…
TinyCore is what you need, though I'm finding the 12MB a little bloated. ;)
Whitson the 2010 link has a "mailto" inside it - i.e. broken link.
I've never used zsh.
A F-25 company will definitely use a proxy server, so that complicates things. The proxy server will perform all the DNS lookups to retrieve the content, not your PC. In fact, I'd be surprised if your PC actually had any direct access to the internet while inside the corporate network or when using VPN from outside.
I probably wasn't as clear as I could have been. ;(
I like pine too.
PS3 doesn't use an x86 instruction set, so you'll need to compile the program(s) yourself. Even then, when to comes to hardware connected programs, the driver (lib+headers) to access any hardware will need to support the interface from the application program and the kernel. I do not know that this doesn't work on a…
If your grad degree is related to the field you could be working in, most medium and large companies will pay for the degree. Getting an MBA by going to school at night while still working is a fantastic added benefit from a company.
@Kamatari+ and @Jeb_Hoge - Thanks! Your ideas got me headed in a direction that worked.
The device never found its current location and the spinner kept going for over 5 minutes before the screen shutoff. Tried at the house and on the road during a very long hr drive. Currently, no SIM installed, no extra SD card install. I own a T-mobile SIM, but didn't want to install it in the Android device at…
Any tips for someone with
You are dead on regarding avoiding any custom development. That should be avoided almost always unless you WANT to force a client to use your company for support going forward or you WANT to retain control over the back end services/servers. This is usually not too good for most organizations, especially when a small…
Sorry, I don't know an answer, but I can tell you this. Use a real multi-user DB for the back end.
Use perl.
There are many reasons for a self-signed cert, but your are correct that using one on a public website that is meant to be used by others is a less than ideal solution. OTOH, if it is a private website and you control the key, then you would know if the server-side key changed or not, so only YOU could be certain…
