Indeed I was! Google reverse-image search didn't even recognize it! Kudos to you, my friend!
Fair point—it's $200 you didn't have before! And if it only takes a couple hours, that's not too bad. I was expecting a long, drawn-out process (as with most things run by the government, like waiting to get your driver's license)
Good observations! Things we should be taught but aren't...
This was a helpful, informative, and well-written post! Thanks Melanie!

Adopting the Millionaire Mindset will lead you to keep tabs on your finances anyway! http://goo.gl/xmwQsZ
Interesting and helpful article, Kristin! Good stuff!
Interesting, though it seems that the benefit is relative to the value of your home (a low-value home may not be worth the time to appeal, because tax savings would only be $200 if your home's value is adjusted downward by $10,000)
In order to achieve financial freedom, I recommend at least a year's worth of expenses in readily accessible savings. This may not be achievable for everyone, but it's a goal to strive for; one that can really ease your mind and take a lot of stress off!
Interesting idea! I'd still argue that you're better off practicing the habit over and over, until it comes automatically.
The question is, what can you do about it? If you own a house, and you're paying too much in taxes because your property is over-assessed, what are you supposed to do? Waltz into your local tax office and announce that you're not going to pay the full amount because somebody overestimated the value of your home?
Can't say this news about the Kardashians bothers me. In fact, it kind of makes me hope the thief is never caught
Successful people understand that what matters is improvement, not ego preservation! Asking for constructive feedback is a great way to improve your idea or project! If you're afraid of being wrong, you'll never improve http://goo.gl/fdHd3o
I especially liked the part about not being afraid of being wrong! Successful people seek improvement, rather than trying to maintain their egos by garnering support for a bad idea.
I especially liked the part about not being afraid of being wrong. Successful people are less interested in maintaining their egos than they are in improving!
Indeed, the small costs add up to a big cost over time! Laundry is a good (expensive!) example of this, as are books.
This is good sense, and advice that needs to be communicated more often! The less money you spend, the better off you'll be financially—whether you make $10,000/year or $100,000!

Well-put!
