1983 ALCS Game 2, White Sox at Orioles. Sixth inning, Chicago is up 1-0 in the series, but Baltimore is up 2-0 in the game. Cal hits a liner to left, Sox outfielder Ron Kittle runs hard, leaps to make the catch, and has a beer dumped on his head, just as the ball arrives. Cal is ruled safe at 2nd, Kittle is soaking

Ironic that this post is two posts above one where Jezebel makes fun of a child who killed himself.

Please edit out the reference to Draven Rodriguez - the kid who wanted a cat and lasers in his yearbook photo. As I am sure you are not aware (or you would not have used him in this piece), he killed himself, less than two months ago. He shouldn’t be a punchline in a humor piece.

Terrific piece, until you see Draven Rodriguez (the kid who wanted a cat and lasers in his yearbook) used as a punchline - less than two months after his suicide.

Please edit this piece, and remove the mockery of him. Rest In Peace, Draven.

You just described an iso feed - a feed that the truck can send to any monitor, but, is not live-to-air (unlike the program feed). The refs couldnt fast forward through the part of the program feed that was showing them looking at a monitor - because, unless they were looking at an iso feed, that would be a live shot

My neighbors have two baby goats in their yard. When I sit on the toilet, I have a perfect view of the baby goats playing around and doing their baby goat thangs.

Best poops ever.

It is just as true of men - and the right look and clothes don’t even matter all that much. I went to the premieres of Live Free Or Die Hard and Southland Tales, and I had nothing to do with either movie.

People at home will see every angle the officials see, just, not while they are seeing it.

I am curious as to which conferences are using the program feed for replay, as it makes no sense to me to do that. Every game I have ever watched shows the refs watching the replay, which means it cannot be the program feed, or

I don’t know exactly how it works for the NCAA tourney, but, generally speaking, refs get a replay feed from the network, but it’s not the “program” feed, which is the feed that hits the air. They get an “iso” feed - a feed sent right to that monitor, which can get any replay feed or live camera shot, if they wanted

When asked how he felt about being the MOP, Jones replied “I just want to soak it all in”.

It’s interesting - I first heard about the RS piece on news aggregate sites, the vast majority of which immediately ran with what RS had reported.

Now, I keep reading pieces on these same aggregate sites about how irresponsible RS was in it’s reporting on this story - but, no one seems to be questioning their own

Years ago, on a rainy day in Washington DC, I accidentally ran a stop sign (a bus was parked at the corner, blocking my view of the sign). A couple blocks later, I have lights in my rear view. I pull over, and the cop pulls his car up next to me, rolling down his passenger-side window. I roll my window down, he

Has someone done the math to see what a year of D1 basketball is really worth? I mean, how much did Kentucky earn off one year of Nerlens Noel?

I wouldn't hire him if he were working for free. A TV show is a big and cooperative undertaking with a lot of money on the line. There are enough talented people in the world that there is no need to hire someone with demonstrated issues, such as this. If I hire him, and he snaps again, it's my ass that's going to get

The thing is, there has been a window of opportunity for Clarkson to try to make it right, and it doesn't appear that he has attempted to do so. There has been no public apology, no attempt to get his fans to get off Tymon's back - nothing. He could have come out and said "I behaved terribly, there is no excuse, I am

If your boss punched you, should your boss be fired?

That is exactly why he is an asshole, and should have been fired. Have you ever worked for a bully? It sucks. I have seen a lot of talent throw a lot of hissy fits, but, actually punching someone? Fuck that. I am a big fan of Top Gear, and always like Clarkson, but, fuck that guy.

Of course there are other reasons, besides an attempt at intimidation - including the opposite reason - to put a reasonable and friendly face to the name and behind the offer of discussion. Tone and sincerity can be hard to convey in writing, and there is no assurance that an email will even be read.

Furthermore,

I don't know if I will get any responses, as this will be lost in the grays, but, I have been reading these stories for an hour, and, while I am not surprised to see how many people are cheaters, I am sorta shocked at the amount of text and email snooping that people do. I have never been a cheater, so I have never

Not putting the name of the tribute band on the poster is a travesty. Tribute bands have the best names of any bands anywhere ever.
