Just a teeny tiny fraction of Philadelphia today. Maybe 30/40000? Philadelphia is not as big of a protesting city as NY or Boston. I’ve never seen anything like this.

I was there and also supprised by the size of the crowd!

About 1,000 people gathered today in Piazza del Pantheon, in Rome. Mostly Americans, some Italians, too: the organizers got in touch with a few local organizations. I honestly wasn’t expecting such a good turnout for something that got so little publicity.

“We said we were going to the women’s march on Saturday and they said, ‘Well, you’re going to have to pull over’.” What followed was a two-hour ordeal. Their cars were searched and their mobile phones examined. Each member of the group was fingerprinted and had their photo taken.

Watching the tweets and coverage from marches all over the world made me tear up this morning. It’s quite a different feeling from the despair I felt yesterday.

Our march is later today. I have a candle and I am going to take photos. 3 ready rolled joints in a tube. Flask of likker.
