I saw him outdoors at the Jacksonville OR/Britt Festival with Sheila E and others, and he was mad at us. He said we were too mellow, not dancing or being joyous enough. He reminded the audience that he was NOT Diana Krall (is that name right? Maybe she had played the week before) and kind of stormed off early. It was

ME TOO. Ratz.

We do that! Every community garden asks someone to be in charge of weekly dispersing of organic produce donated by garden holders. My awesome sister is in charge of that at her garden and has donated 400 pounds of organic goodies to the food bank so far this year, on her bike.

That’s a nice thought, but who is actually going to do that? Ask and wait for a busy store manager to come to customer service to give your kids a piece of (unwashed?) fruit? If that’s a thing, I hope they make it easy for people. I grew up in Ohio, but live in Oregon now. The farmers markets in my city offer 2 for 1

I am not of the class you describe. I don’t doubt your findings a bit. Animal welfare is a different thing, but not the focus of this article. That is the main reason I care about limiting or eliminating animal products, but environmental pollution and degradation was (?) a good defending reason when confronted by

“But rejecting dairy or eggs out of hand renders lots of land useless.”

Sadly, it doesn’t look like recycling. It’s landfill bound. Still love her, because I know in my heart that she recycles.

It’s on ABC, she was a guest last week. She was actively concerned about the participants financial success and got stressed about them not winning. It seemed real and was totally heartwarming, despite host Alec Baldwins smarmy-ness.

She could be an enthusiastic birth coach. She would coach and narrate the entire birth with love and exclamation!

She is the fun friend I need in my world. Leslie, are you listening? I love the white garbage bag ready to be taken out. I love her humble abode. Leslie Jones does life right. I will now go back to watching Olympic swimming, as any good friend of hers would.

I feel you, Sir. You know what’s worse? A dish that has beans paired with raisins. That is a whole lot of wrong.

She was saying that because people are so judgy about red beet food and may be unwilling to try that dish. I know this because I can read Martha like a book. ;)

Awwww. That’s nice. Love the ;)

Thanks, Sodburger. That page has some good-humored commenters and compelling reading. :) I get being Christian, but the Duggars take it to a whole nuther level. Old testament folks to the max.

The teen ones take forever to mellow when pressure cooked...FYI :)

You know, Mama Duggar is odd. She gave an interview after Josh was exposed saying her kids were no longer allowed to go off alone in opposite sex pairs, a third must accompany them. She said it in a manner that...it was aggressive and judgy in tone. Her voice had a sharp yet disconnected edge. As if she assumed they

It’s hard to work up enough vitriol to come at you for being wrong about cukes and beets. It seems a shame you don’t enjoy them, but the election is sapping all the rage energy I muster. So, go forth. Do not eat those nasty, horrible to you things. Ever.

Nooo! Beets are good. They are. The fact that they became nutritious serf food just adds to the delight. I haven’t had borscht yet, though. I won’t hate you if you are unwilling to give beets a chance. We don’t have to agree on every damn thing. In fact, I don’t hate you at all. Quite the opposite.

Is it an unsweetened smoothie in a bowl? I’m not quite getting the fruit soup thing yet.

That sounds really good! Beets get a bad rap. I discovered them recently, after a wasted lifetime of thinking of borscht and beets in general as senior folks food. Not sure why. How/ is your pink soup done with warm potatoes? Cold soup is iffy, but people here are saying good things (except the cherry pasta
