And yet you are not giving any blame on EA for not putting their DLC on sale on Steam? You're okay with them selling their base game and not the DLC on Steam? I do not want to go to some other store to buy their DLC. As a customer of Steam who bought the base game, I have the right to find the DLC in the same place

You do realize that the reason why those games weren't in Steam in the first place is because they chose not to join? They wanted their own version of Steam.

Why not integrate with Twitch instead?

Because Steam Broadcasting is just a feature no different than Steam Music. It's a feature, not a business model.

I knew Ass Creed would have problems when I learned that their basic concept for the game is that you're an Assassin throughout history wearing a fashionable hoodie. That's basically it.

That's it. Nothing else. Time traveling genetic memory thingy is just to put some sense into the history thing. Jumping off

This is the Overwatch I know.

I think Blizzard is still butthurt over Valve winning the court case over the trademark Defense of the Ancients.

Other than having the Overwatch in the Half-Life Universe, the Overwatch also exists as a name for CS:GO for the group that reviews

One thing Valve did not assume was the popularity of the characters they create.

Instead of spending millions on trying to convince gamers that their games and characters are loveable, they let the people tell them what they think.

The problem with these Overwatch characters is that if I didn't know they were from

Valve did not gank anything. The creator of Dota (Eul) and its current/greatest developer just decided to continue developing the mod into a full game.

Dota is not its artstyle. It is the concept of putting in heroes of different backgrounds to do battle 5v5 on one map. Here have a look:

After seeing the gameplay trailer, it looks pretty much like a different take on TF2.

Any executive or corporate accountant can come up with this idea. Let's reinvent TF2. Sentry building, Ghostbuster Beah Healing, Strongman with Heavy Accent, Glitchy Skinny Scouting Ripoff of TF2. Which is fine. TF2 was polished

These decisions are made by the non-gamers of Ubisoft. I can just imagine the thousands of sighs coming from the real gamers who make games in Ubisoft.

To real gamers, Steam is not just a corporation. It's a real community of gamers playing, collecting, sharing and talking to one another. We really feel ownership of

Poor Assassin's Creed franchise. The franchise has no distinct identity without its hood thing.

Without the hoodie gimmick, it might as well be something taken from any TV series or movie from the past. It's like with comic book characters.

The toys have better graphics than the game itself.

The TF2 you remember was not even the original TF2.

I think by this time we should already have been past rejoicing how we can finally buy something we can find in abandonware or piracy for free. There's simply no service to speak of with GoG. A European company that do silly things like pretend they're closing so everyone can tell them how much they love them.

It's because the game is hardwired to run with roles that are assigned to these zones. The Jungler in LoL is a fixed role and a game cannot be played without a player choosing a hero that's designed to be a Jungler. If players choose not to fall into those hardwired roles, their match will suffer a disadvantage of

I've read the New York Times Magazine article and I found it strange.

The only mention of the name Dota was about LoL having 8 times more players and that Dota 2 is a MOBA.

That's totally acceptable since it is a LoL article after all.

What really got to me was that when the article talked about the background behind

How cute. Ripoff games copying other ripoff games.

Only Blizzard has the right to throw tantrums about people ripping them off. Sure they lost the legal case to Valve http://www.valvesoftware.com/trademarkguide… but still, it was always Blizzard from the start.

Riot however, you can copy everything from the fat

Because for young poeple, Riot has effectively erased Dota from the history of gaming.

Everyone's using the Riot invented name that's a play of letters from Dota which is MOBA. Or its full name: MOBABOBACHUMBAWUMBA. Which is short for "We have 538 billion players per second so we are the best game in the world."

At first I thought there was something wrong with Jim Sterling's mouse since he's looking around like he had a stiff neck like Micheal Keaton's Batman, or it only had X & Y axis controls from way back like in the Myst series.

Then I realized he was playing console.

Yuck.

They should invent their own words like with Metal Gear Revengineeringcomeuppance or Metal Gear Groundzeroesessespluralzz, or Silent Hillsorzessespluralzz so that they won't be accused of wrong spelling.
