I wonder if the reason for less concept cars is that they get weeded out before they reach clay model stage. Back in the 90’s they had to build prototypes before they could test key characteristics. Today, most of that work gets done in computer simulation. I’m sure the same crazy ideas exist today (or more), but only

I am firmly with Kristen on this one. Cars are beautiful objects and it tells me you are a careless person if you fuck it up with your garbage. Same thing goes for scuffed bumpers.

At some point, we as a society need to have a serious conversation about perhaps banning physical mail advertising altogether.

This, or an ATS?!

One of those unfortunate situations where we will only know for sure they are guilty when they get caught with a smoking gun. We will never know for sure if they are not guilty since it’s impossible to prove. Not looking good for them.

Agree with the author, and adding another important factor. It just makes it super inconvenient to actually use your phone.

Thank you for this!!!

The tail reminds me of the Cobalt...

I was always theorizing, with two tubes, I could determine accurate speed reading as well as vehicle model (at least an accurate wheelbase measurement, which by and large tells you the make and model). Assuming the car is moving across at a steady speed without accelerating or decelerating, of course.

How cool would it be if they kept the test track integrated as part of the street system in the new development. Then, occasionally for filming, they would close it for traffic to tape top gear. It’s part of the legacy now. Kind of like formula 1 in Monaco..

The world has changed so much. I used to do this regularly when I was in high school, never thought twice about it. Now here we are pulling the moral superiority card on everyone.

but Fields said there was no traffic on the road to impede.

So we are looking at pictures of the top of the line model, yet only the driver window is auto up/down. That’s cheap for 2019. Come on Nissan....

Frankly, I only trust Apple to handle biometrics scans. Not a blind trust but they earned my trust through their consistency.

When can we finally livestream these races? I rather pay per race and watch it ad-free, than watch 3 hours of ads peppered with brief glimpses of a race.

This seems staged to me. He is also a stunt pilot so it’s not unlikely that this is part of his training, or maybe even part of his show routine.

Competition is just too strong. You can be in a G80/G90 or a 5 series with the same budget.

Isn’t it just a projectile fired from a ship?

The big difference is when the original Top Gear was in its heyday, it was pretty much the ONLY high quality car/news production. There was no YouTube back then. And even the internet in general was a very different place to get information about cars. (Jalopnik didn’t exist either!)

Please can we name it the Stobe-train. Would be so fitting.
