Respectfully, I disagree. Touchscreens are terrible while driving. You make a good point about why the joystick things suck - that doesn’t make touchscreens good. They may be the lesser bad of two terrible options. But the real answer is a properly implemented joystick thingy....actually BMW’s latest iDrive is a dream…

And most importantly people will finally stop using the headphone jack to play music through their car audio. It’s not right, just no one seems to realize.

Not sure why Apple never made it clear but running a headphone output into an AUX input is a terrible idea, for many reasons. One is volume control (you don’t want two separate controls), the other is you want a non-boosted neutral sound. AUX inputs are designed for line-level, and it’s a terrible habit to treat them…

Apple trims old fat. They cut off a lot of technologies through the years. Do you miss Firewire now? Do you miss PowerPC? Didn’t think so.
