Same circumstances here. The difference is that her face, at some unconscious level, scares the figurative crap out of me. (NOT saying she's ugly. I can't look at The Cumberbatch either).

I have to admit that as a very well-educated woman in her 30s, there’s an appeal to a dating marketplace where that isn’t considered a liability.

And there’s also the issue of our professional world being set up in such a way that it makes it near impossible for a woman to have kids and not haver her career take a hit (which is not the case for men).

I wasn’t sure whether to reply to this but looking at your comment history I think you are sincere. My statement is about a much more insidious and complex issue than “poor people are ugly”.

They do give off the air of parents who expect something from their children. I think had I parents like that I would either be 10000x more impressive or a homeless addict whose rebellious stage lasted just a little too long.
