Well those OBs must be wrong then!

The more I learn about big pharma the more skeptical I become of modern medicine. It's just... a disaster.

Exactly. She was hoping it would go unnoticed until it was too late, the clever lady.

Exactly.

I have no doubt she's didn't intend for it to look like a vagina. But it sure does. I think it's fantastic actually. Lard knows there are enough monuments to penises.

Yikes. Thanks autocorrect- this should read "for failing at intersectionality".... How you might be failing at intersectionality."

Since people have a lot to say about this and you're right that this is not the place to discuss it, I suggest people move the discussion about homophobic and sexist slurs here.

That was a direct quote from Evie's initial comment.

Looks like Evie dismissed my initial comment. Not welcome or relevant indeed. I shouldn't have bothered to say anything.

White feminists are rightly criticized for failing and intentionality. Others were just pointing out at how you might be failing at intentionality. Perhaps acknowledging it rather than swearing at people would have helped keep the discussion on topic.

That's not the same thing as not being able to deal with something. And it may be an overwhelming problem but I personally am not overwhelmed by it. But I also recognize there is next to nothing I can do about it and that my thoughts and feelings on the subject aren't exactly welcome or relevant. How do you think

Where exactly did I say I 'couldn't deal'?

No problem. Emotions are running high. I probably should have been more clear about what I was trying to get across.

I think you misunderstood- I wasn't arguing with you. Just adding my thoughts to the thread. ETA: I thought you made a good point and wanted to add to it.

This thread is one of the most depressing things I've ever read on this site- and that's saying a lot. It might actually alter my world-view permanently. Well done. (That's not sarcasm.)

Straight people arguing what is and isn't a gay slur is tantamount to white people wanting to use the n-word because black people do.

I have zero recollection of this. 12 year old wrestler? No bells are ringing. Oh well.

ChrisW wants to know why it ruins a woman's life to have nude photos put up online. I think my reasoning is as sound as any other.

It's because we live in a misogynistic society which, at it's most fundamental level, wants to control women's every move. Women have zero respect as a collective. Anything bad that happens to one of us must have been because we deserved it somehow. The world hates women, plain and simple. Welcome to the Patriarchy.
