@The5thElephant: I had no idea who it was, now i do. Underage is unfortunate, i don't think i had much a chance with her anyway. I don't even own an ipad.

@SeraphX2: i had no idea who that was which is why i didn't just google it. now i know, so thanks :)

I clicked through tot he article for the sole purpose of seeing that chick in the article blown up. Where's that image? Total smoke show.

@RubiksCube: Please credit oatmeal, he's too awesome for anyone to know how about him :)

This is an impressive technological achievement, but useless. I'm sure text will look great at this resolution, as it does at 326dpi. Don't forget how much data a 1080p movie takes up, where does the blu-ray drive fit inside this thing? A compressed (backup copy) of a blu-ray at 1080p is usually 10-12gb at my

Google knows the URLs I visit?!? That's outrageous! I thought searching google, chrome and gmail were all completely anonymous!

@Epon: GPS uses time delays to calculate your location. The satellites in space just broadcast the time. Using the delay from the satellites determines your distance from each satellite you are locked on to. Using that distance from 4 satellites, you can calculate your coordinates in 3d space.

@gallahad: This is so hard for most people to grasp. Thanks for saying it before me :)

@Eddard: something else i love about the iOS platform, its consistent. iphone works the same as an ipod touch which works the same as an ipad. you can't get 2 android phones that act the same way, even running the same stupid operating system.

@Eddard: I agree with you. I have an iPhone and a MacBook, i have no need for an iPad because i use the other two pretty competently. My parents and grandparents would greatly benefit from an iPad to figure out that confusing email beast and surf around a little bit.

Android and Apple should release a function to take a video of the screen and whatever it's doing. That way leaked videos would be way nicer looking.

Seems like Apple is trying to get rid of physical discs. Video? Try an online rental. Software? online download. Macbook Air's lack of an optical drive is just the beginning.

@ohnoitsaspider: Does your HP monitor do anything with that multitouch that is useful whatsoever?

@Master_Soda: I don't think so. I think 600 for the base model, which is plenty for them, is more affordable then a computer would be.

@tamoko: Exactly right. I would love to own the toy, but I seriously can't find anything I'd use it for. I can't think of anything that Apple could add to it to make it useful for me next year either. But I bet there's something that'll make me lust for it.

@Robb Nunya: I didn't even know this was possible yet. Being able to carry text books, and to make notes on them would be incredible. Also, i always though that Apple would target the college market, and somehow convince schools to allow students to roll the iPad cost into student loans. College freshmen don't

@Guard: I disagree with you. I think that the target market is not me, the mid 20-something with money to blow on this stuff. I think it would be perfect for my parents and grandparents who can't figure out a computer, and can barely see a 3.5" screen (or 4.3" for the EVO, whatever).

For the people who want Android, the Tab is going to be the creme of the crop for now. For people like myself who like Apple products, we're always waiting for next year's amazing product. If i didn't expect Apple to come out with iPad 2 in April, i'd be buying myself an iPad now and one for my family for Christmas.

@Dr-Rockso: why the hell he said dammit?

@Hoser Dave: Thats actually illegal too. There was a huge legal dispute over whether or not it was legal to tape the radio, turns out it wasn't. Prepare to have your walkman seized.
