@Matt da brat on da wheels of steel: You missed my point. My point was that you said "surpass those expectations", and you were in fact referring to an "expectation" of something that happened in the past.
@geekymitch: I agree that from the articles I've seen; the glass is definatly not shatterproof. I myself have dropped the phone 3 or 4 times from a few feet up (i'm clumsy and drink a lot) and luckily for me, it hasn't broken yet. I think bad luck has plagued some people dropping their phones. Reception issues,…
@Picker: Ug that must be very frustrating. Out of curiosity, how old is the G5? I know in another post there are still comments going that people are upset about the 3G not receiving all the updates that the 3GS got with OS4 and i'm curious how long the G5 took to be excluded from software updates.
@Matt da brat on da wheels of steel: I think you are misunderstanding what you read. I read the article you linked to and the 1.5 million figure you are referring to was a back of the napkin estimate of what they might have sold, after the fact. I did not see anywhere in that article them predicting 1.5 million…
@SewerShark: I don't get your joke :(
@phiyuku: You make a very good point with the G1. It was the first Android phone. It is still used today, but by no stretch is it now state of the art. It could not originally handle the Google Navigation. Is Google still giving the G1 updates to the firmware? I believe they are not, but I could be wrong.
@Andrew Neville: Appologies for being so harsh in what I said. My point is that you have a nice phone, but not the best anymore. Two years in the technology sector is a long time. I used to have a 3G, and I had it jailbroken as well. I used backgrounder and winterboard (i'm assuming the backgrounds and the…
@Andrew Neville: you are wrong. if you want to be on the bleeding edge of the technology, then you seriously need to not expect it to be the bleeding edge 2 years later. you know what apple's update schedule is. you deciding to be upset when your state of the art is not state of the art is just naive.
@phiyuku: apple, while your at it, make snow leopard run faster on my Mac IIsi. I mean i have old hardware, but i should have all the features and functions of the new hardware right? also, release it on floppy disks in addition to dvds
@Gigglebox: just wow. how little you understand anything. "this guy sent a few emails with emotion, he should be fired. forget the fact that with his skills he's made apple's stock 12x what it was 10 years ago, he sent an email with emotion!" shut up and go whine somewhere else.
@tailstoo: agreed. all these donkeys are screaming and crying and have no clue what they are talking about.
@baneyu: i can only give a vague explanation. certain objects and circumstances alter how well signals propagate. example, 3G can carry more data faster (higher bandwidth), but Edge (lower frequency) can penetrate walls better. Putting the hand (or your face) by the phone causes it's performance to shift; so would…

@tumes: yeah i'm just a douche in general. i got the phone a day early, i have the reception issue, but I've always had reception issues before with the 3G and 3GS; so i bought a MicroCell (thanks at&t for letting me spend $150 to fix your awful service). with all the launch mistakes, which will happen with any…
@FauxFilms: i got mine a day early, i'm just busting balls ;-)
@descendency: you are a donkey; thanks for contributing to the conversation. 600k sold with Apple's usual insane profit margin, that equates to a successful launch. Go back to playing on your MotoRazr (it's so thin!)
@Hearthatvoiceagain: clever; i like that.
After this news broke, all iPhone sales stopped and roughly 75% of people who bought it returned it for fear of backwards buttons. Apple is most likely going to go bankrupt now.
