Throughput isn’t actually the limiting factor for the performance of cloud streaming. Even 10Mbps is sufficient for 720p.

The patent did not actually say “native PS3 emulation on x86 hardware”. It covered the use of emulation to backport trophies into PS1/PS2 games, and while the PS3 was mentioned, there was no clear indication of that moving away from the cloud.

I believe PS5 cloud streaming is not available at the moment. All streamable titles are PS4 versions only.

Sony has shown zero interest in writing a proper PS3 emulator for x86 machines, so there’s zero chance the PS3 titles will be downloadable. The streaming seriously comes from servers sporting Cell processors so that the games can execute natively on those servers.
