Friendly reminder that this “free speech advocate” is deafeningly silent about China, where he does extremely lucrative business. China blocks so much of the internet that it’s easier to list what isn’t blocked, over the mere possibility that such websites could facilitate political dissent. Surely someone who thinks

100% agree. I mentioned 720p because that’s the max resolution of most PS3 titles, which do not get any performance or resolution enhancements on PS Plus streaming. And of course, US internet infrastructure will ensure cloud streaming never becomes more than a niche feature - which is fine with me, as I will always go

Throughput isn’t actually the limiting factor for the performance of cloud streaming. Even 10Mbps is sufficient for 720p.

The patent did not actually say “native PS3 emulation on x86 hardware”. It covered the use of emulation to backport trophies into PS1/PS2 games, and while the PS3 was mentioned, there was no clear indication of that moving away from the cloud.

RPCS3 is an impressive feat, but it’s in no state to be launched as a commercial product for the average less tech savvy Joe. If you’re going to release proper PS3 BC via emulation on the PS5, you need to ensure that all supported games work without fuss from start to finish, without any user-end tweaking required.

I believe PS5 cloud streaming is not available at the moment. All streamable titles are PS4 versions only.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas run on a potato of a PC and are super cheap on Steam sales.

Sony has shown zero interest in writing a proper PS3 emulator for x86 machines, so there’s zero chance the PS3 titles will be downloadable. The streaming seriously comes from servers sporting Cell processors so that the games can execute natively on those servers.

Going prone, craftable weapon attachments like the pistol silencer, etc. I expect to see slight tweaks to the level layouts to accommodate these, as is common with remakes that also update game mechanics.

Modern medicine has been kind to despots. Robert Mugabe lived to 95 while his own people were suffering from hyperinflation/starvation and funding his medical tourism abroad.

The remake is about more than graphics (otherwise it would be called a remaster instead). Gameplay mechanics introduced in the sequel are being backported from the sequel, as well as the massive suite of accessibility options that enabled blind people to play the sequel.

Curious - what’s wrong with the Drake collection in your opinion? As someone who never had a Playstation before the PS4, I’m grateful for that remaster because I wouldn’t be able to play the games otherwise. The fact that they all ran at 1080p/60fps was the icing on the cake.

Yes, but Gamestop is far from the only place you can score preowned physical games. Plus, your CP2077 example is a very rare exception - their preowned pricing is often uncompetitive compared to waiting for a sale at Amazon or Best Buy. Every time I’ve bought a preowned game, it’s always been through a private sale on

I suspect that humble bundles, Steam sales, etc are the cause of this. A lot of PC gamers, myself included, have huge backlogs of 2D indie games that we swept up at rock-bottom prices.

You’re paying for convenience and portability. Sure, it’s cheaper to get a normal gamepad and a clip, but that’s a more cumbersome solution that also isn’t pocket-friendly.

“Outright ban porn”... spoken like a true free speech warrior, eh?

If this dickhead had stopped after the first three words and second period, no one would be bashing him. It’s perfectly ok to not feel that someone is physically attractive - what’s a 10 to one person may be a 5 to another. But using words like “authoritarian tolerance” just reveals his true colours.

“mainly affect the individual” - until everyone else’s insurance premiums rise. And in countries with universal healthcare, taxpayers are responsible for some idiot’s stay in hospital.

It actually makes perfect sense for this sick fuck to plead not guilty.

I’m a complete and utter noob when it comes to understanding cryptocurrency as an idea. I’m neither for nor against the concept, I hold $0.00 in crypto investments, and I’m too lazy to find out more.
