Large corporations buy laptops and smartphones like stationery. I’m guessing the shift to WFH accelerated smartphone purchases, and may also have led to companies shifting their budgets from desktops to laptops so that their employees can easily take something home.

Well you can always attach a USB hub for devices that don’t need more than 0.5A, many of which can be charged from the wall or from a PC. If they’re going to cut costs somewhere I really don’t mind that it’s on the USB port quantity.

Zero improvements? I'm enjoying Ghost of Tsushima and Ratchet and Clank at 60 fps. And those aren't official PS5 upgrades in that they still work off external storage.

If Fox is the most watched cable news channel, that suggests that conservative old farts really are the #1 cable subscribers, as I’ve suspected all along. Politics aside, young people of all affiliations seem to be forgoing cable subscriptions unless they want the most convenient way to watch live sports.

Fold a tissue and wet it under a tap, and wedge it between the top of your nose and the mask. It’ll absorb the moisture from your breath and prevent it from fogging up your glasses.

The Xbox OS is basically Windows under the hood. I don’t see how that helps in any way. Now the devs have to deal with all kinds of hardware permutations for not one, but two platforms? Defeats the purpose of console game development.

Solution should be to disable the ability to use the keyboard and mouse in multiplayer modes of games like Modern warfare on consoles.

This. If I’m sitting on an older plane without in-seat power outlets, the last thing I want to do is have a dead phone when I land. I’m not taking out my phone for entertainment, period.

No, smartphones and handheld consoles serve different needs. This is like comparing a calculator with hard buttons to a modern tablet.

Freeways are not racist, but many city-crossing portions were planned in ways explicitly intended to divide communities by race. And even when you take that aspect out, the way the city-crossing portions are designed is incredibly inefficient.

Outside of America a lot of densely populated cities have such scarce parking that the “point to point” argument really doesn’t apply. In a city like Tokyo or Singapore or London, taking the train is guaranteed to be faster even when you factor in the time for transfers/walking. My buddy lives on the outskirts of

Agreed, their cell mates should be equally violent inmates of the affected race. Brutalized a black person as a hate crime? You should be housed with a Crips gangster serving a life sentence for multiple murders. Attacked Asians? You should be housed with a Triad.

Yes, and it's even been tested on Android TVs! If you have a newer Android-based smart TV with Bluetooth, you can seriously pair a controller and have xCloud running without hooking up additional devices.

Make sure you play those old levels from inside Hitman 3 (don’t install the old game if you buy it - launch Hitman 3 which should show all those levels as being unlocked).

You can always get an external SATA SSD in an enclosure. It’s more expensive than a hard drive but a lot cheaper than the Xbox Expansion card or a PS5-compatible PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive.

In many European and Asian markets, the annual road tax is calculated based on engine displacement, with thresholds like $x up to 1500c, $y up to 2000cc, etc.

You don't need to use the internal storage to get the performance boost on games like Ghost of Tsushima and God of War. You only need the internal storage to install the PS5 specific version, such as with Spiderman Miles Morales.

You were already able to use external storage for backwards compatible games from Day One, and still get performance enhancements where applicable. The inability to do the same for next gen games at the start really wasn’t a big deal if you only grabbed a handful of such games (let’s face it, there isn’t much yet...).

At the same time a lot of PHEVs (especially German ones) are blatant compliance cars with nearly useless batteries and they still retain turbocharged engines with non-CVTs, so they can’t even run in “Prius mode” when the high voltage battery runs dry.

It’s common to see someone immediately switch the rims on their new ride to something of a different size right after buying it, and then list the old rims/tires (which are in pristine condition) on Craigslist.
