Guns are not banned in the UK, or most First World nations for that matter. If you have a clean record and are willing to put up with bureaucracy and limited selection, you can legally own a gun if you really want it that badly in the UK and other European countries.

Doesn’t the UK knife law only concern specific types that are popular for use in combat and crime? Afaik everyday kitchen knives and utility knives are fine and dandy. As for public use, I'm pretty sure any nutcase walking around in public brandishing a kitchen knife would have the cops called on them in ANY

Unfortunately, many two-factor authentication systems still require you to at least be able to receive SMS messages (e.g. logging into bank accounts on an unrecognized computer).

Advantages that a watch has:

Unlocking sounds. Most cars do not make that chirp sound and often make no sound at all other than the lock motors clicking.

This again... crossovers of today have a negligible MPG hit vs equivalently sized sedans. The average buyer thinks it’s well worth the gain in cargo space and height.

One thing with streaming is that it’s very easy to cancel and restart your membership at any time. Thus, you only pay when you feel like paying for it. I don’t maintain an active Netflix membership but now and then I’ll pay one month’s worth to binge watch a new season, then cancel it.

Shouldn’t a member of the master race proudly brag in court about what he did, instead of trying to claim self-defense or insanity or whatever?

They’re higher, but I wouldn’t say “outageous” - new cars are still affordable relative to average income by world standards.

Agreed - apart from the 25 year rule, there really is no better country than the US for “car people”.

African countries tend to prefer Japanese cars which aren’t too common in Europe, and most European cars also use diesel which is rare in Africa.

Actually they can export to and import cars from Europe regardless of steering position. No laws against that.

New cars are actually more expensive in the UK (though still reasonable relative to income by world standards) due to VAT of 20%. The highest sales tax I know of in the US is only 10% in Chicago. So a car that’s $50k pre-tax would have a final price of $55k in the highest-taxed American city, but that would jump to

The whole lineup is manufactured in China and thus Buick has a big price advantage over the Germans, who only make a few entry and mid range models in China and import the rest, thus facing tariffs.

Every Buick sold in China is made there.

My mom is utterly dependent on parking sensors even in FRONT. She literally cannot judge with her eyes, and stays away from driving rental cars. I fear for the day the parking sensors fail because that's when she's guaranteed to cause a lot of damage when parking. Luckily it's a Lexus so the system is more reliable

Fatty could literally tear up the original historical documents and wipe his ass with them and those lemmings would still cheer him on.

In countries with national sales taxes that are consistent from coast to coast, this is never a problem.

I know plenty of married people who don’t wear rings. Matter of personal comfort or maybe the ring poses a safety hazard (e.g. Some workplaces, or martial arts class, etc).

Not surprised. Sales tax in the most populous provinces is 12-15%. Tax alone will basically extend most loan terms by at least half a year compared to a US state without sales tax.
